The "brunette and blonde stripped" one sounds cute. Definitely something I would wear if I could pull it off. Anyway, there's a lot of info on the web (with videos) about trimming and styling wigs, and I even saw one specifically for cutting bangs. For an inexpensive wig I'm sure it's worth the risk, but having it styled by someone with experienced while you're wearing it would be a bonus.

Let us know how it goes... post a pic with the results. :-)

The "wig-off" image is coming into my head. ;)

I'm not giving any advice until I know what the wigs are made of. Are they synthetic and can you use a curling iron on them. Some new ones can be styled; look at the directions. If the wigs are 100% human hair then you can do anything you want to them.

If we can see the wigs, then we can tell you if you should cut the bangs or merely brush them around the eyes. If the hair isn't parted in the middle, then that's what I would likely do.

I didn't wanna scour the Internet for a reliable source if you ladies knew of one of hand though :) so ooo I was gonna put up pics to show everyone but I think I'll wait till Monday when I can go all out, I look way less than cute today lol. I guess they both could be swept off to the sides but it still seems excessive but this is my first long hair wig so it could be proportional but I find it unfamiliar.

The only reason I'm iffy on the blonde brunette mix wig is because it has stripes of blonde on brunette and the bangs are the two colors combined so in essence there is three colors... idk once again way new to hair styles so to me it seems weird but could totally be the way it should be haha.

Huuuummmmm... let me guess... A lot of us girls tell everyone when they are wig shopping to go to the shops and try them on. Seems maybe you didn't? Had you gone, the girls (or the guy) could have told you what to do with the bangs.

BUT then, you gave us the chance. Now we have to get it right for ya. The pressure's on.

Those 'stripes' are highlights, dear. Many women like them, but they cost more to have a salon do them. Mine are natural though, brunette and gray. :)
So many CD's buy blonde wigs, but if it doesn't fit your skin tone, it won't look natural. Many wigs come with longer bangs to be custom cut for your head size. Depending on the cost of the wig, you may be brave enough to do your own.

Two ways to trim bangs are straight across like the 'Pageboy' style, or trim with scissors held more vertical. Hair does not grow out evenly, the second method creates an uneven look that can be swept to the side if left long enough.

Best bet is to visit a wig shop, apologize for not buying there in the first place, and let a professional to the trimming. You won't be the first male customer to ask for the service.

Upon further inspection and experimentation the blonde is actually quite nice once I used two discreet Bobby pins haha. And yes highlights, I couldn't remember the term so I figured you all would get it if I said stripes haha sorry. I didn't go to a shop because the only 2 I could find around here was one for like people who lost thier hair and they did the whole 9 years of head measurements and custom made the wig which was very expensive. The other place sells $20-60 wigs for 90-120 dollars... so I decided online would be best bet for now.

I posted picture of the new blonde hair

Myranda, I think you did good with the bobby pins. Now why not go for some cuter ones that show? Once you get used to the bobby pins, you'll be able to place them without looking. You're going to have to adjust them now and then, but hey, girls do that.

So the hair looks nice. It's way too long for me, but then some old ladies have hair longer than yours. It looks like a nice length for you and the brush aside of the bangs is just fine.

I think it works very well, especially with your smile. But you've now got two areas drawing the eye, that and your bust.

Well thank you, I wanted it to be a little longer because it'd cover my shoulders and neck a bit, my muscles are a bit developed back there and thought it might cover a bit of the obvious bigger than most female neck shoulder area.

Is having 3 areas of attention bad??

Well, for example, I have rather a square jaw. So I want to draw attention away from that. When I last went into a wig shop the strategy the SA devised for me was to draw the eye upwards with a wig with a lot of "top" (rather than "side").

If you have two (or more) areas of attention they tend to work against one another so the eye is not really sure where to go - which would tend to negate the effect you're after. Also you don't really want to have features working against one another, just as you don't want to have colours that don't work together.
