Magnetic Earrings.

Hello mods, I think this is the right section. If not please move it and accept my apologies.

So I did a search for magnetic earrings and nothing popped up, unless I didn't look hard enough. Anyone else wear these? I have a pair of 3mm CZ studs and a 6mm CZ nine crystal square. I usually put one pair on in the morning after putting on my makeup and they are fine for a few hours but towards the end of the day they get quite painful and I have to take them off as they pinch my lobes badly.

Anyone else with similar problems? or should I just grin and bare it for the sake of wearing earrings

I tried magnetic ear rings as well. Never again. They are killers with no way to adjust how tight they get. I will stick with clips that can be adjusted. There are plenty of clips that look as good as pierced for dangles and even studs. You can even find fake hoops. Naturally the stud are not the little jewels but have to big enough to cover the strip going around the bottom of the ear.

I found my magnetic ear rings in those beauty shops that have a mix of things and wigs. But again, not going to bother with them.

Hi Davita, I agree about the magnetic studs....ouch. The sets I bought touted two different magnetic backs one strong and one light I've been wearing the light ones but they still dig into my lobes. Many years ago I got my lobes pierced and it didn't hurt as much as taking these earrings off at the end of the day.

As I type this I'm wearing a pair of silver spring loaded hoops. They came as a set of 1", 1.5" and 2" I prefer the 1.5" best. I can only wear them when my wife is in bed as I tried and she didn't like the size of them saying they were too big for a guy to wear. I'm taking that as an invitation to go and buy a set of .5" hoops and wear them round the house.

It's hard to imagine that magnets powerful enough to penetrate an ear lobe can also be comfortable. If you can't get your ears pierced, consider clip ons. As Davita said, you can adjust them. Several CD friends shop at cliptomania.com. I hope I have the name right.

Trust me Eileen they are anything but comfortable. I have my hoops but I'm seriously considering piercing my ears again. That opens up millions of earring choices for me.

I finally got my earlobes pierced at age 49. Should have done it at least 30 years earlier.

I got mine pierced about 25 years ago and shortly after I changed jobs and their dress code meant no earrings for guys so they came out. I tried to wear them as much as possible on my down time but eventually the holes closed up and I just left it at that.

That's too bad, Michelle. Not even teeny studs allowed at the new job? The healing process may not have been completed yet. With this wife's blessing, two years ago, my husband got his ears done and now only wears earrings for a few hours on the weekends.
He hated the lack of choices and pinching with clip ons, never tried magnetic ones, even less choices. He also prefers longer, dangly styles. Clips have to be tighter, ouch! And magnets would not work.
