To Dress Or Costume

Post by Martha G »

Hi ladies!

I have my annual costume party coming up soon for Halloween and was planning to be an evil duchess.

Naturally the makeup would be more on the horror side.

I was also thinking about maybe just going as Martha!

Dress in a nice outfit for a mature lady or possibly find myself a nice evening gown.

It would be my first time out as "Martha" per se"

What do you girls think?

Well, inasmuch as you haven't gone as Martha, maybe you could try something new.

I like the Martha idea. If they ask who you are tell the other me and just walk away.

Martha, I know you enjoy the costumes. But which would give you the most pleasure? Going as 'Martha' might be a costume in your mind, others might just see a nice lady that didn't dress up for a Halloween party.
Or just mish mash the whole thing and go as Martha, the not quite so evil Duchess.

You are a beautiful person Martha, so please be yourself and not an evil Duchess.

As Donna has said "This is me in a parallel universe."

I have decided to dress as a Southern Belle.

I will be Miss Martha from the South in a very large hoop skirt and all the trimmings. Oh my!

Makeup with red lips, wig with long curls, earrings, lace fan, silk pink lacy pantellettes, long pink gloves and a large hat with a large feather in it. Also a nice string purse for my compact, makeup and money.

Might try to get a nice lace pink parasol.

Oh my!

By the way I am a Southern girl myself!

I was thinking about Halloween today as well.

So many ideas for costumes that would work en femme too. Southern Belle is a good one. There are a lot of time period costume ideas coming to mind now. Medieval princess, Wild West saloon lady, Ancient Amazon warrior princess, Harem girl, but I think I like Southern Belle the best.
