Busy winter.

Post by Domonique »

Everyone that knows me, knows that winter is my down time. This winter has been a totally different story. Since we really haven't had any real snowfall in my neck of the woods, I have been quite busy. The boss has been here every week for 2 to 4 days a week. We have been finding and fixing water leaks and along with hunting down his imaginary water leaks. We have cleaned up enough brush to warm a small town, and my hair has turned even grayer. I have been so exhausted that Saturday nights I have been asleep by 8. Now I am praying that it snows enough that he will stay away for at least a week.
Come spring instead of mowing I'll be reseeding. This place looks like a family of gophers visited for a few months. Anyway, wish me luck.

Well I got what I wanted. I'll get a break now until next week. Snow is falling and the temps are dropping. A week and a half and I'll be ready to go again.

Yea for snow! As long as your happy. Hey Dom, I was flipping channels yesterday and on TMC a 1956 movie with Carol Baker, Karl Malden, and Eli Wallach. Thought of you right away. Movie name was "Baby Doll." We were going out so I didn't get to watch. Just wondering if you had heard of it or have seen it.

I don't know, I'll have to look for it to see if I have seen it. It sounds familiar.

I sure don't miss splitting wood. I did it growing up and it was a great work out but I'm glad I don't have to do it now. As far as the cold goes, yep it is 12 degrees here with the wind chill making it feel like it's 6 degrees. We got a whole one and a half inches over night. Guess that will be all for a while, unless that storm moving up the east coast brings us some. Stay warm.
