How do you do it?

When I have a cupcake, I split off the top half, turn it over and place back on the bottom half, sandwiching the icing in the middle. That way the icing lasts for the whole cake.

Never heard of or seen anyone eat a cup cake that way but to each their own. I guess I eat cupcakes kind of normal but muffins are another story. I always split the top from the bottom of a muffin. Then I eat the bottom first, saving the delightful muffin top for the end.

Bet you would never think a woman could use the words "delightful" and "muffin top" in the same sentence!

m with you Diana on the way to eat a muffin. As for cupcakes I would love to just find a way to eat them without getting frosting on my nose!

When I eat a cupcake the first thing I do is scrape 90% of the frosting off, then eat it. No frosting on the nose and not so many calories.

I am the opposite. The only purpose of cake, brownies, cookies, etc. is to serve as a medium to transfer frosting from the bowl to my mouth without having to use a spoon.

At a recent temporary work assignment, the issue of the difference between a cupcake and a muffin became the subject of some debate. I found it odd that there was time to discuss such matters while on the clock, but nevertheless, found myself intrigued enough to guess wrong at the difference.

It has nothing to do with icing.

Should I stop here and see who else is smarter than me?
