What to do?

Post by Alisa »

I was picking up my dry cleaning to day and I saw the most god awful dress I have ever seen... The lime green chiffon with way to0 many rhinestones was handing there and I could not help comment. Trying to be kind, I said: "That's a fancy dress". The asian lady that runs the place and whom with I flirt with (in boy mode) says "would you like to try it... it might be a different experience for you?" Instead of going there (Uggg) I asked if she made the dress and she responded "now I just did some tailoring" and complained about how difficult the material was to work with.

It was a god awful dress but should I accepted the offer to try it on?

Of course! Why not? Try it on...

Sometimes the most ugly clothes look terrible on the hanger but can look A-M-A-Z-I-N-G on the wearer!!!

Interesting situation. I probably would have passed as well unless I had been in femme mode.

I do have to agree with Lexi that some clothes look awful on the hanger but good on. Sadly the opposite is true as well. :(

I inferred this was another customer's dress. No, I wouldn't try it on. Now if it was one of those "must be disposed of by law" outfits, then why not; the law doesn't say how to get rid of stuff. Trying it on will help you know how that style fits you if nothing else.

It reminds me of that thing you said about your need to interact with others as a girl. Maybe it's not that, but a woman saying would you like to try on this dress...Well, it's in that area (might be).

Yes it was a customer's dress... she was engaged to make alterations. As my boy taylor and dry cleaner she knows my dimensions... giggle - may be the dress was for another girl like me and she just needed a model for the alterations.

I would have fluttered and thrilled on the inside with that offer...but agree it is another customer's dress and would have turned it down.
