Re: How do you feel about being a man?
"How do I feel about about being a man"........In a word Meh! I've always felt uncomfortable with this gender. The clothing is boring for example my wife and I were invited to a formal cocktail party at her fathers country club. Well there we were me in my tux, the "guy uniform", while my wife was wearing a beautiful off the shoulder cocktail dress. All the ladies there were wearing beautiful dresses and some wore pant suits while we looked like penguins or head waiters.
Buying male clothes is just boring, get in get what I need get out, Never been into hunting, tried fishing...got bored, don't avidly follow any sports teams still have to do the male stereotype stuff, mow the lawns, rake leaves, clean gutters, take out the trash, minor household repairs, investigate the bump in the night. I suppose the only predominantly male hobby I have is Bushcraft although there is an increasing number of woman in the hobby.
So I guess in a nutshell I'm stuck with it I don't have to like or embrace my masculinity I try my hardest to hide it with feminine soft and pretty things.
Sorry about the shaving Anne I guess I'm lucky as I can and do go three days between shaves

Re: How do you feel about being a man?
I see almost the entire spectrum represented on this thread. Me? At this age in life? I have no use for testicles, or bifurcation, and wish I'd spent money on laser facial hair removal before I started turning grey (no point now - won't work on grey). My sexual fantasies are all as a woman. No kids - too old.
I'm non-op only because I keep my promises, and I love my wife, and always will.
Hugs,
Bernice

Re: How do you feel about being a man?
Well this made me think. Oddly I didn't have an immediate strong response.
When it comes right down to it the only thing I really hate about being a man is an enlarged prostrate! (fortunately, not malignant - and I got the exam and test results to prove it). Well, the body hair is annoying, but just that an annoyance.
I also envy the clothing choices available to women. Every day out is like going to a fashion show. But, as I guy I can walk into just any place looking like I just came from or am going to a construction site. That illustrates that for everything fem we covet, the is an offsetting perk to being a guy - maybe one that just isn't appreciated.
Whenever I have some free day(s), and have the coin, the choice is between girl time or a fishing trip. The decision can go, and has gone, either way.

This is just ignorance on my part - I've only ever been fishing twice, and only caught anything once, but don't girls fish? Do they have to dress just like guys to gain admission?Kelly wrote: Whenever I have some free day(s), and have the coin, the choice is between girl time or a fishing trip. If your girl time is limited to inside the house, please excuse the insensitivity of my question.

Re: How do you feel about being a man?
Yes of course, girls fish. In fact met one of my college girl friends when she came up to me and said she had found out I fish. Girls also play basketball, baseball, and hunt. Some at an extraordinary high level.
The attire is designed for the activity, not the gender. A girl or a boy in waders and a vest look like a fisherperson. Function trumps. When I'm in the pink, gender specific attire is important; form trumps function.
By the way it is called Fishing instead of Catching for a reason
.

Re: How do you feel about being a man?
I like being a man.
I am basically a man who loves to dress and act like a woman at times.
I feel so relaxed in feminine attire and makeup. I enjoy showing off my feminine side . I have developed some feminine mannerisms as well.
Plus I make an attractive and very passable woman. I also look 10 to 15 years younger.
But when the dress and makeup is off. I am back to being my male self.
However I have to say I thoroughly enjoy dressing and acting like a woman.

Re: How do you feel about being a man?
Hi sisters,
I'm less and less certain how I feel to be a man. I'm sensitive to the criticism, "You haven't had to grow up as a girl, taking all the socialization, criticism, repression, disappointment etc. a girl must take, let alone having a female metabolism and all that goes with it, etc." as expressed variously on these forums.
Still ... what constitutes manhood, the hairy chest, the masculine biology, psychology and attitudes, are confining and not resonant to me, and have been so for decades now ... I'm sure they are so bad in themselves, but they pale and grow ugly by comparison to femaleness, which calls so much more strongly to me.
Or is it just that I love femaleness so because I've loved female attractiveness so, because I've loved girls and women so? Ummm... there must a point at which analysis overanalyzes itself? All I know is what I feel, and efforts to intellectualize it don't take me very far.
As things go, I am stuck in between. I don't know if I really want to be a woman, any more than I know if I would really have liked growing up as girl—maybe the overload, social, psychological, everything—really is more than I imagine. Maybe all the beauty and mystery we invest femaleness with would be wholly gone if we were in a female body. I sometimes think it might be, sometimes not.
In the end, though, I just have to go with female, not male, because ... well, just because. (A very feminine reason.)
Love, Marissa Mae

Re: How do you feel about being a man?
I am very happy to be a man; I go to the gym frequently in order to keep myself fit and looking nice for my wife. I just happen to enjoy the feel of woman's clothing, woman's sexy heels and make-up. I haven't fully explored all of those things just yet but, I fully intend to with my wife's help and support.

Re: How do you feel about being a man?
As a man I am very average and consistent in the way I live. I know what is expected of Me and what I need to do to protect and provide for My Family. I am not a flashy dresser and have had the same haircut for ever it seems. I can be Aggressive, insensitive and matter of fact. I am ok with being a man it is part of who I am, I have spent most of My life as one.
But now on the flipside, "I Love being Jill."
As Jill I feel more alive and more in touch with my true feelings. I love the fact that I can change My appearance at will and there are endless possibilities to hair styles and all the Wonderful clothes and shoes out there. I love to get all dolled up and when its all going just right I feel more relaxed and content than I ever have as a Man.
I Love to feel pretty and feminine and I like the way my soft side comes alive and sometimes I know this is the real me. I am more health conscious and take greater pride in My appearance. I am more creative and so much more sensitive. The more time I spend in My female persona, I can feel Myself growing in such a great way.
So Although I am ok being a man for the most part, "I Love being Jill."

Female dress, especially classy or sexy, is so much more fun than ordinary clothing. On the other hand, having a built-in urination hose comes in handy. That's the best part of being male.

Re: How do you feel about being a man?
I still like my male part.
But more and more I am becoming to like being a woman better.
All the great clothes, the makeup and being feminine.
The best part is that I make a very nice looking and passible woman and many years younger.
I love when I am in female mode.
Well, I have been holding this feeling off for a long time, but one of these days I will probably go 24/7 (dressed).
Oh my! Decisions, decisions!

This perfectly sums up the way I feel.
Because I live alone I once tried living and dressing as a woman for a week (7 days) as a test. Might I stress I am straight. Not that's really important.
I did go out dressed, but only at night. Just to stretch my legs. Whilst the first two days were awesome, by day three I was starting to miss my male shoes and the ability to get round much quicker than I can in heels>
By the end of day three, I went back to being a guy. But four days after that the urge to dress up again returned.

Glad to see someone thinks like I do.
But unfortunately the desire to dress never goes away. It may slow down at times but....
