Here's a first rate opportunity...
To quote Gilbert and Sullivan with impunity...
I went to write hello and "Here's a first rate opportunity..." popped up. It seemed like a good way to start out.
My name is Bryan. I'm still working on figuring out who this female inside of me is that keeps trying desperately to get out. For the time being I will call her Brianna, (original, eh?)
I have been interested in crossdressing for a long time. When I look back on my life I can see signs that I was interested in 'girlie' stuff as far back as my young childhood. Of course under the direct gaze of my family and friends, I managed to squash these feelings almost entirely. Here I am, finally, allowing myself the freedom to explore this part of myself.
I have tons of questions and please remember I am a work in progress. I have taken some pretty big steps but more are still to come in the future...
For example,
I have told a friend of my interest in crossdressing,
I have purchased some magazines and visited a local establishment that specializes in crossdressing,
I have purchased makeup and played with it to some degree,
I have gone to a local department store and asked for assistance purchasing lingerie,
I am sure there is still a long way to go before I have this whole thing figured out... hopefully I can get some help along the way.
Thanks for listening to my ramblings...

I'm glad to be here...
Darlene,
Thank you for your post. I am very hopeful that I will make many friends and find a nice place to discuss the many issues that seem to be spinning out of control in my head... or wait, is that my head that is spinning out of control? Well, either way, I hope to find answers, even ones I don't like, to my questions.
As you may have noticed in my signature, I'm trying to figure out who I am. This is really challenging. Most of us, as we grow up, find our identity as we mature. We discover things we like, determine how we want to present ourselves to the world, etc. All this time, the world, i.e. family, friends, strangers, etc. are providing feedback on whether it is working or not.
Crossdressing requires starting all over and discovering all of these things in a new and different way, often alone. In fact, you don't even have a name when you start out.
I'll be checking out all of the areas of the forum shortly, so I'll be looking for the area where I can ask my questions.
Thanks again for the welcome.

Welcome Brianna,
I think you have chosen a pretty name. As our sisters have said we are all on a journey as I call it with thanks to the Beatles, " A Magical Mystery Tour," fortunately I think you have found a home where you can get as much help as you are willing to ask for! You will find these girls will be very helpful as we have all travelled this road for a while. Yes, there are some potholes - you may hit some and you may avoid a lot of them. Whatever we can do to help, ASK!
Love, Deborah

Brianna,
Well you started off just fine for someone who thinks she's unsure. Your choice of name is much better than I did at first. I haven't been a member here very long but I have been an active participant and the result has been better than what decades of sitting on a shrink's couch might have accomplished.
I'm happy you found us but even more happy we have found you.
Love,
Julie

. I will offer my .02 about makeup, first and formost be sure to use a good moisturizer, as applying and removing makeup will dry your skin out. And remember pratice makes perfect
