Big Night Out March 2017

For several months I'd been thinking I should get out of Cardiff and start attending some of the event that are organized around the UK, and last Friday I finally took the plunge by attending the Big Night Out which is held at Pink Punters, an LGBT nightclub in Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire on the second Friday of every month.
I began the day as I meant to continue, in female guise, though not in the dress I was saving for the evening. It was reassuring when I reached the Campanile Hotel, which is literally across the road from Pinks, to see that I had not been the first to arrive.
It soon became apparent that the hotel staff are accustomed to crossdressing guests (something they see every month, after all). I'd booked the room in the name that appears on my birth certificate (and my credit card!) but the young gentleman at the reception desk showed no reaction at all on hearing that the person before him, with a bobbed hairstyle (yes, it's a wig!), powdered face, lipstick and mascara, wearing a pink floral parka and a denim skirt was Mr ***** ********.
The crowd were very friendly and I had a thoroughly good time. I'm about to post a photo in my album. You may well have seen the dress before but don't worry, it's not the only one I've got, and I've just ordered a new one for the summer. More of that when it arrives!

Glad you had such a good time Penelope. I used to live in the San Francisco area and in certain areas there they were so used to the girls no one ever gave anyone a second look and the proper pronouns rolled off their tongues. It is nice to know we have made some headway in the world.

Sounds like a wonderful experience Penelope and you loved every second of it. You do realize that once the country girl has seen the bright lights of the big city it is tough to keep her down the farm. Enjoy and please keep us updated on your further adventures.
