Thank you Heather for getting back on topic. It may be cute, but not offered in my size. It does seem that some marketing exec tasked with promoting a new bra line had no clue of the English language. Boyfriend shirts and boy cut panties sell, why not promote a 'boyfriend' bra?

Since Wesley posted this thread, I quite agree that the naming is ridiculous. What's next, 'boyfriend' Tampons? Or 'girlfriend' jock straps?

Standards and labels! The whole "boyfriend" concept for women's clothes is more evidence of the double standard. Women can freely dress either in clothes for men or styles that mimic men's, but god forbid us guys put on anything girly.

Stephanie, you are so right. ggs can wear what ever they like but a guy wear something noticeably feminine. the world would end.

My interesting POV to me anyways about clothing and what either sex seems to be ok or socially accepted to wear, if I may is the subject of pantyhose, we've had for a number of years the product of mantyhose. Pantyhose sold for men. Yes, one may feel these are designed more for fitting a man but I as a CDer have no interest in buying or wearing mantyhose. I want to wear women's clothes including pantyhose. A woman is not likely to pull on mantyhose, so in my feminine mind I want to pull on pantyhose.

I try to find pantyhose that fit my male body acceptably well. I want the satisfaction of opening up a package of pantyhose just as any GG may. If the package has an image of a person on it, I want it to be a woman as I feel like a woman when I pull on my pantyhose.

Same would go for me with any other article of clothing. If say a line of skirts were made for men to wear, I would not be interested as when I crossdress I am a female in mindset. I want to wear clothes made and sold for females. I can readily find women's clothes that fit my body well enough, generally ladies large to extra large or plus size. Yes female clothes may not always fit perfectly to most of us males, but I am not interested in guys clothes that are feminine for men. Unisex is ok (I tend to buy more so unisex trainers/running shoes, they are out there ) but not feminine designed stuff to be sold to men. I want to be the girl I can be and wear girl's clothes... Maybe it's just my  hang up but I'm ok with it.

I have a couple of similar Hanes bras for the downtimes and I could care less what they call it. They are comfortable, offer decent support, and keep things hidden.

For a group that should resent labels the concept of a boyfriend bra sure seemed to rile up a few of you!

I followed the link and it does look comfy. I'm not a fan of foamed lined cups but it seems today you have to look for bras w/o them.

I'm guessing that clueless marketing exec who coined the term, maybe wasn't so dumb after all. The "boyfriend bra" has certainly got attention and generated a lot of conversation. So if she would have named it "super comfy bra" nobody would have paid attention, and just shrugged and said "yeah right, they all claim that."
The name doesn't have to make sense, it has to attract attention - and that it did!

But as far as comfy goes, it seems like it's pretty specific to each person. A bra that fits me well and that I like maybe is the most uncomfortable thing in the world for someone else. So the only answer I know, is that I just have to have plenty to choose from!
