Good Friday

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

Good Friday

Post by KimberlyS »

I am a couple of days behind but thought I would tell about some interesting good things that happened. We have been busy at work the last few weeks and decided Friday I was going to get out at lunch time an hit a couple of stores. We have gotten so busy at work I have gotten lazy and not shaved for a couple of weeks starting a beard for a few months as wife also likes it. I started at LB as they had a sweater dress on clearance I liked and was going to see if they had one in the store. LB did not have the dress, so a quick look around and nothing hit me and clearance was thin mostly the same as previous time. We that did not take me long so I grabbed some lunch on the way back to work, but still had lots of time. So I decided I had not been to Catherine's in a while so thought i would do a quick run through. I was greeted right away as usual and told them I was just looking. They were not very busy and the two of them were chatting away and I was soon included in their conversation as I shopped away. They asked if I was looking for anything specific, and I said I had not been in for a while and just seeing what they had. As I shopped I found a skirt, a shell, and a cami as I continued to shop. Then suddenly one of them asks, do you need me to start you a room? I said I was ok for today and plus needed to get going back to work. Guess a guy in two week scruff is still feminine enough to try on femme clothes. All goes back to what I say, act like a serious shopper, be a serious shopper, be treated like a serious shopper.

Secondly, we ended up going out for supper. We were all done and chatting with the waitress as she took some of the dishes. As she left she said "you ladies have a good evening". My wife chuckled. I told her I had something to tell her later. When we got home she asked and I told her about my lunch hour and she chuckled again.

We are womenish men...simple as that and we come by it all honestly because we are. This is our sense of who we are. We are certainly not like most other men at all and try as hard as we like we never will be! What man do you know is like us? We are a tiny subset but this is who we happen to be.

I really love the boldness. I’m still at the stage where I drag my wife around so I can look at all the clothes. I need to just pull my girl panties up and try that.

Amy I would not call it boldness or being brave as others have called it. I learned along time ago without anyone around to help me, if I wanted to do something it was up to me. I have learned to just do it. Often we over think things and prepare to perfection. Some of the best things happened to me when I was away from home, spur of the moment, under prepared, and not even close to a perfect situation. But it was fun and I learned a lot from those times. Yes I was scared shixless many of those times when I was starting out. But funny how fast being scared can turn into a comfort and calm of enjoyment. Getting out and about in the real world for us cders may not be for everyone. I will not push anyone out the door and encourage them to do things they do not want to do. But if you want to do it, myself and many here are ready to encourage *-* you and help with what we can.
``5 (--) Yea you will most likely be hitting your head on the wall ](*,) at times. But it does get easier.

I think if I get away from my small town area. It would be easier.
But I do love adventures ,looks like my first outing will be in Eureka springs soon.

Not quite in the way that you say, but yes.

Couple of examples I've mentioned before: Standing in a queue with 4 women and the lady at the checkout going "We all know what it is to have babies" and me responding, to general laughter "Actually, I don't".

Buying a suit and the woman I was talking to calling me "petite" a couple of times.

Some others. Having come out of a really intense dressing up experience and then getting into a conversation with a woman in a book-store where we talked about having shoe collections like two women.

Various things with my neighbour, where she kept talking about "men", like I'm not one.

Buying wigs and the shop-owner saying how dreadful it was to have a man put hands on you when you were trying on a wig like I'd understand as a fellow woman.

Going to a till with 3 lipsticks and the male SA looking put out. So I went into this thing where I said they looked like batteries (which they did) - and I could see "Oh I'm being a man." Then at the end of the interaction he held the door open for me (I was carrying these big bags) like I was a woman - so I thought he'd been reassured that I could still function as a man when I needed to.

I too have to get out of my small town to shop. Still shop with my wife but I feel more comfortable. By myself soon , I hope. It'll be interesting.
