With the plans up in the air Cindy decided to keep here reservation and come up to see Stef. Long Story short and a 100+ MPH burn across Tennessee put me at the Hotel @ around 10PM Friday just in time to catch Cindy & Stef http://www.whynotb12.com/cami/DSCN3359.jpg . This is the first time I had meet either of these wonderful gals, and let me say that it was an instant friendship.
While Cindy got ready Stef gave me a Makeover and showed me a lifetime of tricks & tips about makeup & Dressing. She is a goldmine of information!
By Midnight we were all ready and Cindy and Stef stepped out of the hotel room, I wasn't so quick to follow. Stef patiently waited for me while Cindy ran ahead to get the elevator. That first step was tricky but I had great friends to support me & I took my first step out in full dress. http://www.whynotb12.com/cami/DSCN3323.jpg This pic was taken by Cindy about 20 Seconds after stepping out (I felt much more nervous then I looked).
We made it out to the car with no problems and drove to the first club; I can't seem to remember the name of the place unfortunatly. Cindy gets props for an Awesome parallel parking job, in Heels even! I timidly stepped into the club and promptly got carded lol. I recall my hand shaking as I handed her my ID. She looked at it, smiled and handed it back and that was it, whew. The club was quite dead (Thank Gawd!) we had a drink and decided to try another place.
The next club we went to was a real cool little place called the Gas Light. This is a very neat place. Stef was telling me that it used to be a Speak Easy back during prohibition. It seemed very T Girl friendly. A few people came over to chat with us and I even surprised myself at how calm I stayed lol. The people here were very nice and it was a great place to get my feet wet. I was very comfortable in this club and we just sat back and chatted until final call. We got a few pics here and in the alley and decided to call it a night and by the time we made it back to the hotel it was almost 3 AM!
We spent the next afternoon in boy mode shopping and recouping from the night before. We decided to get ready a bit earlier this time. LOL I'm not sure how many outfits and Wigs I tried on before settling on what I did. I now know what Women mean when they say "I have nothing to wear"! I ended up wearing something I never thought I would EnFem....Pants! Who would have thought?
I had no problem stepping out of the room that night; it was the elevator that I choked in. That night at the hotel there was a reunion for WW2 Airforce Vets. As soon as the elevator doors opened I heard the Voices and froze! My legs locked! Stef wasn't having any of it, and she just pushed me out of the elevator
The club we went to this night was a busy one *Gulp!* called Cabaret'. They have a Drag show here, something I had never experienced before. This was a crowded club! I was a bit nervous here due to the crowd but nothing that copious amounts of alcohol couldn't help! The show was great, the people were great & we got complimented on our looks! I was just soaring
Before Stef left we took a few group pictures http://www.whynotb12.com/cami/DSCN3440.jpg and chatted until around 3 or 4AM. Stef had to leave as she had to get up early the next morning. That night CNN had a special on crossdressers, go Figure lol. Cindy & I said our Good Bye's the next morning and just like that the trip was done. I drove back to Mississippi just beaming!
The whole experience was just great. I'm so glad that I made the trip after all. I now have 2 more friends that will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you both for making my first time a special one, I owe you both so much. Something to be said for "Southern Hospitality"! I'd like to say sorry to the girls that didn't make it due to my scheduling issues; hopefully the next trip will go off without a hitch. And Yes there will be another trip; it seems to be quit addictive! TY to all who took the time to read this long post.
