"Hello old friend, it's really good to see you once again"...
They haven't sold the place yet but the sign's still up so who knows? Living here is too cheap to not take advantage of as long as I can, so the important flowers are planted in portable pots this year just in case. There's so much to catch up on and I'm looking forward to that. And please watch for cops at the traffic signals...LOL!
Be Sweet!

Hi Tammy, and Thank You for the carreer tip, I'll consider it. But my future plans really require a more 'female suitable' type job along with more education, so I plan to enlist the assistance of a carreer counseler as soon as I enroll and heed their advice, whatever it may be. An old 'friend' who doesn't know about Penny was one of the IT pioneers here and I plan to come out to him soon. If that works well then I may have the 'leg up' I want in my new carreer. If it goes badly, then all the local 2m habituates will know about Penny, so...I'll let you know when it happens!

Re: Welcome!
Hi Jamie
It's good to be here among friends and neighbors. Perhaps we can 'do' Atlanta or Greenville sometime if you wish. I heard The Cove in Anderson closed and I know of nothing else anywhere near your end of the water, but if you know of someplace, I'll buy you a drink there.
An' grits is great fer breakfast, but I prefer White Zinfandel with them

Thank You for the welcome, Josey.
I'm still mostly QRT as I'm very busy with TG concerns ant the internet works better for me to keep in touch with these folks. A long stretch of no work saw some rigs sold here but I still have the HF boat anchor, 2m, 1 1/4m & 70 cm so there's still hope for me(if I get the doublet back up and the trailer park doesn't get sold out from under me)!
73 to you too!

Re: Nice to see old friends again & my 1 cents worth abo
Hello Sally!
It's SO very good to find you here! At one time I wasn't sure, but as you can see from other posts I am heading there. My timeframe is 3-4 years before transition if nothing else happens before then, and if there are no medical problems(which is a big 'if', as I have a high risk of the big 'C'). I'll know that within a couple of weeks. I'm not sure of exactly how far I'll go but if I win the lottery I'll be on a plane to Thailand within a month...and you know that I absolutely hate flying!
All My Best!

Kersten,
Your kindness makes it hard to see through my watery eyes. I am touched and I Thank You! It's so good to know that you are doing OK. It can be a rough road but somehow I knew you'd find your way. Did I ever mention that I have roots in Phelps County? So maybe that has something to do with it all...

Rikki,
I remember much from the yonder place, and I can only say that I can never find the words to tell you what knowing you has meant to me(Imagine that, me without words, LOL!) But you've taught me much about myself just by reading about you being you. To know you is a real privelege, and I'm looking forward to hearing more from you soon.
BIG HUGS!

Hi Miss Carolyn,
I have a 'occasional' friend from your part of the world who moved down to the sunny south. Upon comparing stories we concluded that there are erdnecks in both places and unless you have dealt with them and understrand them, you're better off being elsewhere(and that might be true anyway!)Unfortunately, my friend was outed as TS waaay before she was ready and lost it all, family, friends, job, home, everything. Including internet access. The last word we had was that she was headed south to Florida or Alabama to start a new life. I hope she's doing OK.
I think the local ham club here would tolerate me to a decent degree, but I'm not ready for that trial yet. As Phil I was one of their most popular people, I did a term on their Board, and I was their premiere 2M NCS, working once a week with 70+ CI's, and 3-4 TFC each time I called it. But that was then and this is now. Only 2 of my dearest Ham Friends know about me and for all purposes I'm QRT. When I come back, it will be as Penny and we'll all get to see how well an "out" T-Girl is accepted among this usually conservative bunch. Perhaps I'll arrange a TG net on HF..."CQ CD CQ CD de KG4...
