Hi Josey!Josey wrote: I saw your pictures when Cami posted them to her web site and you are truly gorgeous. I guess I'm jealous.
Thanks so much! I know I am going to be making some great friends here!
Please NEVER be jealous of me. I'm no different than anyone else. I am just an ordinary person with an extraordinary closet!
Hugs,
Stef

Is that a hint for me to tell that story Cami?Cami wrote:I like the story with the Female Cop
I was headed toward Nashville one Saturday night. I was dressed in jeans and a nice casual blouse. It's about an hours drive for me. I was driving along and noticed a cop car following me, I knew I wasn't speeding and the only two cars on this particular stretch of road was myself and the cop car. I had no idea why it right behind me. We were coming upon a stop light, as soon as the light turned green I looked up and saw blue lights. I was scared to death! I pulled over, got out my license, registration and proof of insurance. The cop, who was a lady, walked up and asked to see them. I handed them to her, she looked at them and said "No Maam, I need your license". I handed it to her again and again she said "No Maam, I need your license". For a third time I handed it to her, this time with a very irratated tone to her voice she said, "Look Maam, I don't need your husband's license, I need yours!" I then lifted my wig off off just enough to where you could see that it was in fact a wig. The officer then looked at me very puzzled and said "Oh.....I'm sorry, I just need to run a check" and goes back to her car.
Now keep in mind that I know that I don't have any outstanding warrants or anything but it seemed like forever while she was running the check. You'd be amazed at the thoughts that went through my mind. After what felt like an eternity she came back to my car, it was then that I finally thought to ask her why I was pulled over, she said I had a tail light out. I knew I had just replaced my tail lights earlier in the day. I asked her if she minded if I got out of the car to check them. She said I could, when I stood up the look on her face was priceless. Barefoot I'm 6'4 and I was wearing boots with a 3" heel and I'd say she was about 5'5, so I towered over her. I opened my trunk and realized that I had forgotten to plug the lights back up. The officer just laughed and let me off without a ticket.
As I got back into the car the officer asked to see my license again, when I handed it to her I asked her why she needed it. She said "I want to see what you look like as a guy cause you look just like a woman. I was so taken back when I looked at it last time I didn't really get a good look." After looking at it she just smiled and told me to "have fun, but not too much fun."
Now every Thursday, I give my car a good going over to make sure that everything is in working order. LOL
Is that the story you wanted Cami? LOL
Hugs,
Stef

LOL Yup! That's the one. I guess the reason that I like it so much is for the fact that it turns out so great! To get a compliment like that from a Female Cop is so cool to me for some reason. Now I'm sure that many of us have been in a simular situation with local Law Enforcement just in guy mode. I know I have, and to have to sit there and wait was just plain Hell. Now imagine that wait En-Fem. Gawd I can't even imagine! I Freaked out handing a bouncer my ID, I can't even imagine a Cop. The cool thing, besides the fact that you got off with a warning, is that I'm sure that you left a good impression on this gal. And I'm sure the next time that someone hands her a License that doesn't look like them, she will take a long hard look before giving it back! LOL

HUGS Lorrie!!!Lorrie wrote:I just wish i could get the nerve to go to one of the Southern Belles Socials. I'm not holding out. Just am scared.
I can understand your fear. Going out for the first time can be very very scary. Rest assured though that at a southern belle social, you will have nothing to worry about. There are some great girls usually there.
Have we talked about the VALS? http://www.3dcom.com/tg/tvals/ The support group in Nashville. They are a wonderful way for girls to take their first steps. They meet at an undisclosed location (very very safe!) and have a dressing area if needed. They also have a fabulous group for your SO if she would like to attend as well.
That first step out is always the hardest, but after you take it you will wonder why you were so worried. It's the most terrifyingly terrific experience. The thing I hear most from girls after their first night out is that their only regret is that they didn't do it sooner.
If you see an email about an upcoming social and are interested in attending drop me an email and I will try my best to help you.
Hugs again,
Stef
