Which way would you prefer to look?

Post by Loretta Ann »

One of Shannon's recent posts has raised an interesting question in my mind.
I wonder if any of us feel that by cross-dressing with a wig, make up, and perhaps jewelry, it is an attempt to look better, or prettier than it is possible for us to look like in male mode, and perhaps just don't see that much beauty when we look in the mirror as males.

I have to confess that I feel that way.
How about the rest of you of you Gals.

Hi all,

That's a good point, Darlene. Personally, I'm reasonably satisfied with my looks either way ("reasonably" being the operative word, here). In fact, I was thinking of putting up a boy mode photo in my gallery album for the fun of comparison.

Love,
CJ

While I am not particularly unhappy with my "natural" looks, I am very much a "plain Joe" in that mode.

I feel like dressing not only brings out my inner beauty but it shows on the outside as well.

Now, if I can just gain the courage to actually SHOW it outside... :)

Verilly intellesting question -Sis,
They say:"It ain't braggin if you can do it"
So her I am, I weigh under 200; I have a 34" waist; can bench press over 400 and squat in the upper 500's and I crossdress?! and PASS!?
OH yeah!! How does that happen you might ask. Well as most of our sisters know - a lot of it is confidence! And in confidence, I am a pretty woman. Anyway today I tried something new (for me anyway) I dressed and used very litlle make-up, a bit of mascara, lipstick, neutral eye shadow, no foundation, powder, etc. and Deborah looked great!!! Girls I think its in the genes. I barely knew my mother, she was an acholic and it killed her at an early age, but the pictures of her! She was absolutely, drop-dead georgeous!!!!! So, thanks MOM! I think she would be proud of her son/daughter!
Come on Deborah, we got th get ready for company - Love ya all!

If I were trying to pass, I guess it would be important. For me crossdressing really is not about how I look, but how I feel. I just don't feel good in drab. I really don't like my male image at all. Not how I look, not how I interact with people. It is like playing house. It is just not the real me.

Oh! I voted for either, it really don't matter, it is not about looks to me.

Love always,
Elizabeth

I'm sooo much happier with my appearance as a female. There are days when I get depressed thinking about it. While as a woman I'm slender and statuesque, In actuality I'm just a tall skinny guy. A friend asked if she could use a picture of me in guy mode to compare to me in girl mode to show that we are just ordinary people. Here is the link if you are interested. I'm the girl at the bottom of the page. http://laceyleigh.com/Myth.html

Thanks Deborah!

The only time I ever reach down is when a sister has fallen and needs help back up. Any other time I just reach across.

If anyone is interested I made a page on my site that shows the progression I have made in my look over the years to get to where I am today http://www.whynotb12.com/timeline.html

HUGS!!!!!

As I have posted many times in the past. I do not try to pass. I like how I look as male. I could stand to lose weight but at this point almost everyone needs to.

Hi Deb and Stef,

Your interaction right there is why I love this board so much. It's good to hear stories from other people.

If I tried to explain exactly why, my words would never do my thoughts justice.

Anyway. :)

Stef, wow you know her too? (meaning, who don't you know) :) I saw that person's web site via the link that Kathy (CDKathy) put in the forum, "Links Of Interest" section. I think it's a wonderful site! I loved the Fact/Fiction section. That was something that I thought, "Oh yeah? Why didn't I think about that and say it the incredible way she did." I loved the fact that she put a picture of Franky there.

There's no doubt that when I'm with a couple, who are friends, I always wonder if they'll start thinking I did that to them. I often wonder, "Am I Franky?" lol. 8-[

Thanks again you two! :)
((G))
Take care,
Beauty

I definitely prefer the way I look as a woman, rather than as a man. I also feel better about myself, and I`m more confident as a woman.

I picked the middle option. I'm not really sure that I find myself all that attractive as a woman--it's just that I see some spark, some potential there.

I'm not really uncomfortable with my appearance as a man--it's just that it's almost hopelessly mediocre. Every time I look in the mirror, the same glass of tepid water, the same breath of stagnant air. As men go, I'm an '85 Toyota Tercel--not particularly attractive in the first place, and long past its prime.

There are possibilities Celia the woman has that are exhausted for **** the man. Never mind that realizing them would probably be more demanding than a barefoot hike across the Himalayas; a slim hope beats none every time.

Thank you Stef and CJ for the boy mode pics! This is something that I've had some difficulty with, whenever I see pics of CDs enfemme, I find it hard to relate them as being like my husband, purely because I am only seeing the enfemme side, I can't picture you as men, and of course I see Ed as 'Man' most of the time! Aargh, I'm trying to make sense here, but not doing a very good job!
In fact, I think I'm right in saying that even Ed has trouble relating to the images of CDers as being like him for the same reason. I called him over to show him the pics just to say 'look, these CDers ARE men like you!' Please someone tell me you know what I'm saying here!
I would like to think that Ed is happy with looking either way. Although he has yet to do the full enfemme. (no wig, shaved head). I will try to post later, elsewhere, where we at with the crossdressing.
