Re: To Shave or Not to Shave
Used to...don't anymore. Never had much leg hair anyway and actually they look much better completely shaven. Same with arm hair, which was the final frontier for me re: shaving. I liked the analogy someone said in a previous post of it was like washing off dirt. I agree. I abhor body hair so really it is no longer an issue for me. To the gg's I say eat your heart out and to the gays, though I am not personally of that persuasion, enjoy the view!Jamie Ann wrote: To shave or not to shave, that is the question. I must confess that every summer for the past several years has been a time of great ambivalence for me. For someone who secretly wears an item or two of women’s clothing, this is not an issue. Likewise, but for the opposite reason, for someone who dresses en femme much if not all of the time, this may not be much of an issue. But for those of us who dress en homme a significant proportion of the time, and who would prefer to wear shorts when the temperature gets into the 80º to 90º range, the question, “Do I want smooth-shaven legs?” has no easy answer.
Do any of you girls ever angonize over this kind of issue? How do you handle it?

Liz...I likes your style! Kudos too for being considerate of your kids feelings. You sound like you got it all together hon.Elizabeth wrote:Hi Ladies,
I have to tell you, I just can not care about what others think any longer. If anyone is stupid enough to ask me why my legs are shaved, I will tell them it is because I was told to in a dream, and if I don't, I will die on my 46th birthday in a red convertable. No one is gonna touch that. They will regret asking. And if they don't? I will continue to be silly as long as they do,
I shaved my whole body which i have not done in quite sometime. I have to say I have not been self concious about it at all. Took my kids to the pool today. All I know is that it feels great and liberating. I did wear a shirt though, I have my nipples peirced with hoops and this is just a little more than your average soccor mom can handle, considering I also wear gold hoops in my ears. I don't want to embarass my kids so I asked them if they wanted me to wear a shirt, and they said yes. I want them to be comfortable. My two younger boys do not know about Elizabeth, they just think i am excentric,
Love to all
Elizabeth
