thanks darlene.

I went out and bought some dermablend for testing just hours ago for something I'm working on and I'll report back in a week or so on the results. The beautican at the store was kind enough to try on samples to get the exact match without being weird about it too.

Although I didn't get it there, its available at JC Penney as well. The stuff works on skin splotches well too and bags under your eyes. You need to buy setting powder if you don't have any.

Hi Alexandra,
I'm picking up quite a collection of dermablend products and although I haven't had a chance to use it much yet, so far I'm pleased with the results. The only downside is the price, Im' getting it off e-bay at around 70% off the list price.

Hi Alexandra,

I can't wait to hear how things went with it.

Rebecca,

Wow! 70% off list. E-bay is really great, isn't it? :)

Good idea Rebecca. Of course, the main problem is matching the color to your skin which needs to be done before you can really buy over the net. But now that's been done, it'll be less of a gamble. Durablend has a "color match chart" on their website, but geez, matching color on a computer screen? (Well, maybe it'll work if its a Mac monitor LOL!)

Beauty, I think I'll move the date up a few days, I've got some other goodies to try out too! 8)

Hi all,
As I love to paint and love colour anyway, I got one of each  !!!actually I got 3 different colours and I use a bit of each.
The prices vary dramatically, I picked up a concealer for 2GB£, on the same page the same item was selling at 5 and 8GB£. The rrp was £18

we have a winner -- dermablend.

yep, it went on easy and hid everything. after a long night you still couldn't see the 5 'oclock shadow. blush and eyeshadow went on easy on top of the stuff after you "set" it. In fact, I believe that one could get away without using any other foundation. Its less "sticky", dries faster too.

While seemingly expensive, one doesn't use that much product and based on my one-time use estimation, it is cheaper than what I was using before and FAR MORE EFFECTIVE!

ps: beauty, I notice we have a make-up forum now, maybe you can move this over there?
