Here's a fun idea -- Go to a womenswear shop (or better, a lingerie shop) in drab and start browsing. When the salesclerk (presumably female) asks if she can help you, keep a straight face and tell her you're looking for a gift for Father's Day.
I think my dad knows something is going on with his son, but he still deserves a nice gift on dads day anyway. And whilest I am out , pick up that new special gift for myself. OOh I feel so naughty.
