Wearing SO's church outfit

Post by Jadeanne »

A Sunday evening tradition for me is to wear the same dress or top and skirt that my wife wore to church in the morning.

Tonight I'm wearing a navy blue floral eyelet belted dress. I got it for my wife from Old Pueblo Traders closeout page a while ago and we were both impressed with the quality. The hemline comes just a little below my knees.

In addition, I'm wearing the same lacy black full sweep full slip from Lane Bryant and the freshwater pearl bracelet and necklace (part of a set that includes pierced earrings) that I gave her yesterday.

Here is the rest of my outfit (not worn this morning by my wife):

Stockings - National Run Resist support gartered stockings with reinforced heel & toe in wood beige

Shoes - gold Coup detat pumps with 1 1/2 inch heels

Other jewelry - goldtone expansion band femme watch, fake pearl clip earrings (my ears are not pierced and I don't plan to do it).

Underneath - beige Playtex 18 hour soft cup bra (hand me down from wife), white Cortland Foundations 6 garter pull-on OBG, white Jacqueline Smith waist cincher bridging the gap between bra and girdle, and under the girdle, purple print Hanes Her Way high cut satin panties.

Other - My wig is my bleached blonde Marilyn Monroe wig, and I have tomorrow off, so I have on copper fingernail polish with a topcoat of multicolor glitter, and purple lipstick (yes, I'm getting more into makeup :) and I'm going to use lipstick/gloss/liner as my starting point and try adding other items slowly and wear it on a more frequent basis while dressed)

How many other forum members wear their SO's outfit after they have worn it?

If you do, could you describe it?

Beauty and Carol Ann,

When I read your posts, it made me feel like Goldilocks (appropriate, bacause I'm wearing my blonde wig :) ).

Carol Ann, your wife's clothes are too big, and Beauty, your wife's clothes are too small, and I am truly blessed because my wife's clothes are "just right" and she lets me wear them!

Tonight I am forgoing my tradition. My wife went to church in an LL Bean long burgundy dress, but it won't work with my new petticoat :o ( the skirt is way too long for my Malco Modes 22 inch petticoat). I can wear her church outfit almost any time (her only rule about borrowing is that she can't be wearing it at the time) .

I hope some other forum members who are lucky enough to have a supporting SO who is their size and allows them to wear some of their clothing.

We would like to hear about it.

Morning,

Hey. :) Actually.. it's nice having my own clothes. ;)

It's nice when you're in the closet (your wife not knowing) though. :)

I skipped a day and tonight I'm wearing an even more major part of my wife's church outfit from Sunday. It's a long skirted long sleeved burgundy LL Bean dress, underneath a Lane Bryant trapeze slip (black), and because I waited, her black Bali double support bra (on Sundays when she changes clothes she rarely changes bras then).

I added the rest from my own stuff - burgundy halo suede pumps, black National non run stockings with reinforced toe (the least favorite of my stockings, but I bought them, so I do wear them sometimes). My black Crownette OBG is holding up the stockings and I'm bridging the bra/girdle gap with a black Jacqeline Smith boned waist cincher. My panties are purple floral nylon Secret Treasure (under the OBG).

My accessories are amehyst colored necklace, goldtone wristwatch, goldtone bangle braclet, a floral cuff bracelet on the other arm, and goldtone non-dangling clip earrings.

Beauty - I do have several dresses, tops, and skirts that I bought new for myself. Slowly, I'm trying to learn to sew under my wifes guidance and I have a partially finished caftan in progress.

Beauty,

One of my favorite things about this forum are the accepting members with diverse tastes, interests, and experience, and depth of ambitions in the various facets of our "hobby" (it's more than just a hobby for some of us). We are respectful of the views of others and I'm always learning new things.

I hope this thread may encourage some other CDs who have supportive SOs with the same dress size who don't mind sharing their wardrobe to maybe try something a little different for them.

I'm going to try to keep posting my wife's church outfits on this thread every week she wears an outfit to church previously undocumented by me and I wear it afterward.

I will try to start a different thread on my petticoat experiences (it wouldn't work with either of the church outfits I have listed).

If anyone hasn't seem Beauty's pictures in the gallery, make the effort - it's well worth it!

Well, its a new Sunday night, and my wife wore a different outfit to church today, and I am wearing most of it now.

It is a knee length (on me) plum jumper from Old Pueblo Traders, and a Kmart Basic Editions long sleved pull-on top. The top is cream colored with a small floral print of flowers that are dark red with green stems & leaves. I'm also wearing the beige full slip with lace trim on top & bottom. There is no label in it.

The shoes are my pair of wine colored Easy Street fake suede halo pumps (Old Pueblo Traders outlet almost a year & a half ago). My stockings are gartered National RHT support stockings in brown beige (fairly close color match to the pantyhose she wore to church).

Under her slip I'm wearing a purple underwire bra and my Cortland Foundations 6 garter OBG is holding up my stockings. My panties are purple Hanes Her Way purple high cut stretch satin. In addition, the jumper has a fairly full skirt, so I'm pouffing it out a bit with my white Malco Modes petticoat with a white half slip underneath.

My accessories are a long silver bead necklace, a silvertone bracelet, plus a black enamel & silver bangle bracelet & clip earring set. my wig is my favorite bleached blonde one.

I didn't feel well yesterday and didn't dress up. Both of us were up and down most of Saturday night but made it to church (wife teaching Sunday School and singing in choir), then pretty much collapsed the rest of the day.

Tonight I'm wearing the major part of her church outfit - a teal jumper from Old Pueblo Traders, a Kmart basic editions green long sleeved top with a small floral print, and her beige full slip with lace trim at top & hem.

My own touches - pouffing out the skirt a bit with my white petticoat, Hanes Silk Reflections sandalfoot stockings (gartered as almost always), gold pumps, bangle bracelet with matching clip earrings, gold locket, and goldtone wristwatch. Underneath, I'm wearing a Playtex cotton bra, purple floral Secret Treasures panties, and holding up my stockings with my white Crownette garter belt. My wig is a short curly ash blonde estetica.

What are you wearing tonight?

Hi Beauty,

My wife & I are feeling better now - I went back to work today after resting yesterday.

I have a small correction to make. As I was getting undressed, I double checked the label on the cotton bra - it was SEARS, not Playtex.

I hope we do have some forum members reading this thread. With new people joining, maybe some who also share their SO's church clothing will post on this thread.
