Hello everybody

Post by Estefania »

Hi.

I found this forum thanks to Shannon/Sharon's posting at the parsimony CD Discussion Forum. I signed in a couple of days ago.

I have to say that I have started typing this message several times, not really sure about what to say. Really, I don't know if I should even be here or not.

I'm 37. Married, hetero CD. I have been lucky being able to accept my crossdressing as a part of who I am. It took me some time, but I was able to understand why I started, and to learn that even though it is a part of me, it is not the most important thing in my life.

This is the reason why I don't know if I belong in here or not. Basically, I have stopped crossdressing. I know better than to think that it is "gone", but I know very well that if/when I do it again, it will be only because there is room in my life for it. Right now, I just don't have the time and opportunity to do it. Mainly, for family reasons.

My wife knows about my crossdressing. But she is not acceptant of it. I can live with that. Will she ever "come around" and start accepting it? Who knows? I don't count on that. But I guess that it will be good enough if she is aware of it, and gives me some room for myself.

Anyway... I know that my thoughts and views about crossdressing are... different than those of many others, but that is the only thing I have to offer. I have got to learn a lot about crossdressing in general and about myself, and if that knowledge can help anybody... I will be happy to help.

Welcome Gaby,

We are glad you are here and I hope you eventually feel open and comfortable making posts. I seriously doubt you will offend anybody here.

As far at not belonging, I think you are way off base on that. You don't have to be wearing panties, bra and a dress to post on here... I haven't got the spy camera peeking out on everybody yet to make sure they are...... :P

j/k ofcourse... but that would be cool if possible.... hmmmm

I myself have never been online on this forum while dressed .... Just can't concentrate real well when dressed :? and I usually am trying to fix or improve something here on the forum when I am on it.

From what you say about your life I feel like you have much to add here. With all due respect to everybody here, from what I have gleamed about the members most are pretty well into accepting and living with their CD'ing in everyday life.... I hope over time this forum will attach people who aren't at that point... People who still don't know what to do, think, say or be....

And you seem like someone with the experiences and attitude to help in those situations....

Boy, I don't know about this post... I kind of feel like everything I have said could insult somebody... so please remember that is not my intention.

Welcome and take care Gaby...

Hi Gaby!!!! :) :) :)

I'm so happy you decided to post!!

I was going to send you a Private Message several times, but chickened out.

You're not dressing anymore, huh? :( I'll admit I'm sad about that because I think our personalities are similar. From the looks of it we're both children of '66. ;)

I am sure this growth is needed (the stop dressing phase) and I wish you all the best in your quest to learn more about yourself.

Gabi is always in that pretty smile of yours, so I'm glad to have that until you dress again.

Warmest regards,
Beauty

Shannon, Beauty,

Thank you for the nice welcome.

You got that right, Beauty... I was also born in '66. Excellent year, if you ask me. :) Like you, I have also felt that we have some similarities in our personalities. And we also have excellent taste in clothes, huh? :)

Shannon, thanks for starting this forum. I tend to be rather cynical about many CDing related issues, but I'm really greateful to people like you, who create tools that allow people to learn more about themselves. I know that my life changed when I found the internet, and I can only hope we can be here for others looking for answers or just support for who they are.

Thank you ladies!
Gaby

on the other hand, if it wasn't for our outspoken and brave transexual sisters, crossdressers would find their lives much harder than it is now.

IMO all of us "alternative" folks ought not knock the small individual differences among each of us and find a way to tolerate it. Infighting brings a smile to the Jerry Falwells of the world who are just waiting to condemn CDers as "sick perverts." We need ALL our sisters to keep people like that at bay.

"but TS's do have a way of taking over the conversation and turning it towards their agenda"

In a well-moderated forum this shouldn't happen. Even if it does, establishing ground rules to oppress a certain group right off the bat isn't the way to go about it. We ought find a way for it to work without offering up our own set of oppressive rules.

Perhaps we ought just wait and see if it becomes an issue to members down the road and address it at that time.

Hi Gaby--
It's good to see you over here. I think it's a good thing that you can lay off when you don't have the time or the right setting for CDing. That is how it works best, when you can pick and choose when you're going to express that part of you.
