Hi Kersten,
It's been a couple of days since you posted your above post, how are things going ? I am totally confident that all will be well, partly for myself too as I am in such a similar situation.
I am slowly trying to accept my past regarding my father and it ain't easy. It seems to go forward I must go back. I had been bottling things up and become 'dry' As I start to let go, I begin to face the past and the effect it has had on me, and hopefully in the future I can be the real me, but with confidence.
You say you try to be honest on the forum, well to me that does shine like a beacon. You say that you show your best side, well that is human nature. As for not knowing you, well for me I often relate to what you say, and the more I know, the more I like.
Kersten, you can always send me a pm if you ever feel like it, we may be a few hours apart, but I am on and off the computer at strange times anyway.
All in all, I'm just saying keep going as you are and all will be fine
