Julie , Lorna, You have got me going girls ,I would love to be going out and have the kinda fun you girls are having . i am so trying to get the right look so I canfeel comfortable enough to pass some what , Here inGreeley probably not but i will be in Denver by Fall , I am working to get that done, one step at a time and got to be in the right City. my makeup has come a long way and now age apporpriate clothing is next.. .... I am trying very hard to get that first encounteron Sunday, when I get back from the Wedding in Minnesota......kristen

Lorna, I have been in Minnestota at a weddng , in abuilding called the Landmark , Downtown Saint Paul, lovely old (1902) building and lovely wedding ( my Neice) . I would love to make it to NYC his fall , I don't think that is going to happen though, my money has ran out because of all these wedding to go to in Minnesota. I would say probablythis coming spring. I will save for a trip just to cd all day long. And I also have major dental bill in october, So nest spring really somethning I would like to do just beacuse of the gg's liking cd'ers.. I am so blown away by that. Ill let you know and maybe we can meet up at some point.......Kristen

Just got a new monitor, and now I can actually see the posts again! It was getting blurry here...

Kristens, I just came back from Minnesota last Sunday. I helped two friends drive to their new home in Blue Earth, about an hour and a half south of the Twin cities. Beautiful back there this time of year.

Lorna, I really liked East of Eighth. My friend Suzi in New Jersey always brings me into the city when I come out to see her. Then we went to a place called the Silver Swan? after that, and got our pictures taken with tourists.

Long Island's not too T-girl friendly? Oakland and Berkeley have no places for Tgals at all--I have to go across the bay to San Francisco if I want to be in a comfortable environment.

But there is one hotel bar I go to over here in Oakland, at the Claremont, and I like it a lot. There's a huge dining area/bar in the back, and they have a grand piano there. Last time I dropped in the woman serving the tables remembered my drink from last time, and the pianist smiled and waved. Like I said in another post, I like it when my CDing is brightening up other people's lives, and sometimes it does just that.

Wow - I haven't been to the Silver Swan in ages, but it's still going strong! And yes - tourists love T-girls!!

By and large, Long Island is much more conservative and is filled with family themed places. There are a few TG friendly spots here and there which are a safe bet, but when it comes to a more mainstream setting such as a family restaurant or club where you have jocks and hip-hoppers, I will scope it out first in boy mode to see if it would be a safe place for Lorna to hang.

There is one mainstream club not too far from me where one or two potential troublemakers might periodically enter, but I know the owners & bouncers there so I'm pretty much safe.
