I also need to mention (no I'm not auditioning for an Oscar) the person who spurred me to try a little harder - Darlene. She, after several proddings, told me I looked like a man. I responded in a somewhat defensive manner that I was a man. But after careful reflection I realized I didn't like that look. So I went on a quest. It was like I didn't know where it would take me only that I knew where I wanted it to end. Going out tonight
This is the first time I have posted BEFORE going out. So I thought it might be cool to get into the pre-prep specifics.
I have the house to myself and so I invited Jacki over. She has been reluctant to go out lately because of the wife but today she called me and said "all clear" Perfect timing!
I'd swear, the two of us were so intense about ourselves tonight! I'd say something to her and there would be no reponse. Then she would ask me a question and I'd do the same. "I'm thinking how I'd look in this top" Do girls do this?
"Hey Julie, Do you have any hair spray?, Jacki just asked. "No"
"You gotta be kidding!" She replies.
She's dressed. Pics later.

It is fun to read about your nights out. And I agree--that's a great look you've got going.
I tape my eyes from the sides, to give them a more oval appearance. It's not so apparent in the pictures I have in the gallery, but it makes a difference. Hard to keep it in place, though.
When I grew my hair long enough to go without a wig, it also meant that I couldn't tape anymore, either. It would help my appearance A LOT if I could get the combination of real hair and oval eyes, but it seems to be either/or.

Friday Night
Well the wife and daughter are away and my son is at a friends. So I call Jacki and invite her over. In two shakes of a lambs tail she's here. So we talk about the evening plans and I figure it's time to get dressed. Now Jacki can't be rushed, as I'm learning. So when I'm ready I just plop myself in front of the TV and wait. It doesn't matter, being dressed is great no matter what!
After Jacki was finally done preparing herself for the evening out we headed to a place called The Edge. We parked right on the street not more than 1/2 a block from the bar. As we were walking toward the bar we saw a bunch of people in front of the place. As soon as we got there they start talking to us and when they see we are armed with cameras they want to take pictures with us and them.
So before the we even get inside the night begins!
We then head inside and find the place pretty crowded. Jacki goes to the bar and orders us drinks and before they come I am dragged away by the girl in green above. "C'mon, let's go to the ladies bathroom." She takes my hand and off we go. Once inside she introduces me to her friend. I'm not sure if that's the reason she wanted to take me to the bathroom but we all just stood there and talked.
I went back out and found Jacki. She was talking to some CDers who were in a beauty pageant. The winner wore her crown all night.
One thing I have to admit they were far better with makeup than Jacki or me! This is a shot of me with the other girls from the pageant
It seems my little friend has a thing for the ladies!
Later I met this very cute girl who was really cool about CDing. She and I talked for a while then danced one dance.
With the heels it was a new experience for me. I did okay but one song was all I was willing to attempt this night. After the dance she gave me a kiss that Jacki caught on camera.
When the place closed we went to old reliable, Escapades. I took a bunch of pictures for Rudy's collage that I'll burn to a CD for him. There's too many to print out. Most were of the other people there but I did manage to get one of Jacki and me.
Don't ask me what her hand is doing. She'll have to explain that!
When we got back to my place I crashed. Jacki woke me up at about 9AM. I made some bacon but found there was not much else in the frig. With my wife gone all week I didn't pick up the slack very well.
All in all it was a great time. Jacki always keeps me moving. There's never a dull moment with her around. After she left she called and while on the phone with her she ahnds the phone to her mother-in-law. "Who's this?", she asks. I'm dressed in cami-jamas still with makeup and wig so I figure what the hell. "Julie" I answer. So she's kind of hesitant. Julie is also the name of her daughter who happens to be Jacki's wife. I wonder did I say the wrong thing? Then she just starts talking about how life is too short and you need to accept people for who they are. She then asks if she can come out with us the next time we go! So I say, "Only if you promise to have fun." What a great lady.
Over the 4th of July weekend we went to In Exile. There was a guy there who was whooping it up with some friends. I took got a picture of me and one of his friends just after I has kissed her cheek.
So I run into him (Kevin) last night and he remembers me. He was wasted that night but remembered the incident. So I open my purse and pull out the picture of me and his friend. He just goes nuts!
"Oh my god! Can I have this? She will freak out!" So I give him the picture. It turns out he is gay and had convinced his straight friends to go to this bar. They were reluctant but went anyway. Well in walk Jacki and I. We were the only dressers in the place so we added to their experience. When he saw the photo I could see the devil in his eyes. He had to use that against his friend!
I told Kevin of the picture I had of him with my claws digging into his forehead
He remembers it vaguely but what he remembers most is the experience when he took his straight friends to a gay bar and they get to see C R O S S D R E S S E R S !

You look very much like a friend of mine, who's a local guitarist around here. He still wears very long hair, real eighties style, so his appearance is already femmed out a bit. It's fun to see what he might look like with make-up and the dresses.
People having real fun around me and other CDs is one of the bonus points for going out and doing this!

"Having more fun than we should be allowed to have." I love it, girl! I am soooo jealous that not only do you look great, but you have several places to go, "where everyone knows your name and they are always glad you came." I think a lot more of us would go out if we had access to places like you visit, where you feel safe and can have a great time.
