Have YOU found a Salon lately?

Post by Hayley »

Hiya Girls,
Just thought I'd share with you all. I have found a Salon in the Newcastle (Australia) area that is mega friendly. My wife started going there to get her nails done and now I go. I make my own appointments, and get my nails manicured and pedicured, get my eyebrows shaped and occasionally get a wax.

The lady (who shall remain nameless out of courtesy) that owns the salon is so fantastic. Without even a mention of my CDing, she recommended a great colour for my toes when wearing open-toe shoes. Damn am I that easy to read? I must admit, I did let a little bit of Hayley loose in the store, but who cares NOT I!!! :)

The appointment always starts with me buying both of us a nice big cappacino from the cafe down the street and then it's down to indulgance time. And if my SO has her appointment at the same time it's coffee and chocolates all round (at my expense, at both the SO's and Salon owners insistance). Still always a gentleman, even when indulging the lady within

Any of you girls go to the salon en-drab and get yourselves pampered? It would be nice to hear others' experiences.

Hi Hayley,

When my hair was longer I would, but I don't do it now. :)

Come now Beauty,
Modesty is one thing sweetie :) . You, of all the girls could probably go to a salon dressed, and not have a problem. I on the other hand am unable to go out in public in my local area. But it is still nice to have a salon that cares about making one feel extra comfy.

Can you please explain what you mean by "when your hair was longer" :?: . Unless you are thinking hair salon, I'm stumped. Blonde moment

Hi Hayley,

I'm over 6' tall so, it's hard to pass, no matter how nice my face looks. Most of my CD/TG friends tell me to shut up and get out, but I'm just tooo chicken. ;)

I go to my support meetings and that's about it.

My hair use to be down my back. I now have it cut and wear wigs. :)

p.s. Thank you for the nice compliment!! :)
