I recently discovered something that may very well be known by others. That people think of themselves in terms of their current beliefs. That they, translate this into their work and their work becomes their basis for their beliefs.
When I visit my barber, he thinks and acts as a barber. When I visit my stylist, she thinks and acts the part of what I believe is a stylist. Simple examples, but the underlying information is what I am after here. If I think that I am a “woman” then I would naturally act the part. Gestures, movement etc. Believing that I am one that imitates a woman, I must make use of these parameters, with some effort. That is, I am aware of my efforts to translate myself into this other person.
That in a nut shell is the difference in my opinion between someone born into a specific sex/gender role. The various hormones that are released during the creation period, effectively, construct the shell that will support the specific personality. When we step outside of that psychologically constructed shell, we feel uncomfortable or at best, that we are forcing to some extent behaviors that are not part of our chemical makeup. We are CD’ing as it is referred to.
I think it is very possible for a chemical hormone alteration to take place during the creation period, that renders the individual in question with the mind of one and the body of another as we see so often in TS people. I think that it happens routinely more than we know. That this, mixing of personality traits, is like the roll of a die. Any number in it's range may come up on any roll, by increasing the number of die in the roll, the statistical value increases exponentially.
I know in honesty that I am not TS. I simply believe this. I use both personalities to my advantage and would not want to change this. Although, it would be nice to have a second suit that I could change into and come out of the room the alternate personality, physically at times, without the need to add external items to accomplish the result.
I have done this in a dream several times. Waking to barely remember what was going on, only that I made the change back and forth as needed. Wow, another place, another time perhaps! A place where anything is possible. A place where we reconcile with the day’s events and work out our problems. This is currently a trend in dream analysis at the scientific level of thinking. While in REM sleep, we have no limits in our dreams, only those they we place on the characters in our mental play.
My final point is, woman (GG) typically do not get “hot” over their own bodies, and men follow suit as the same. It is the attraction to the opposite sex that we claim provides for this particular human perception. So, if we find ourselves a bit too attractive in the mirror, hmm., well, this seems to be our “TABOO” subject in this forum. We dance, we jive, we try to stay alive….but all the while, we are just turning a cold shoulder to something that we chose not to discuss or admit happens.

Danielle,
Whoosh! right over this blonde's head. I had to go make some coffee, now I'm back and will give it a shot.
When Deborah is dressed and ready to go out, she is the opposite sex! Granted the physical attraction vs. the mental when "en drab" do offer conflicting aspects. Are you saying that "we" do not, can not, or will not discuss how we (assume) we look when we see ourselves in the mirror?
I think Deborah is georgeous! I see a lot of my mother in her and my mother was a beautiful woman as was my grandmother (her mother). My grandmother on my father's side was half Comanche! Anyway one of our sisters posted something that will guide me: " mirrors are great on the wall but the best mirror is a friends eyes." Deborah, unfortunately has not been "judged by a friend -yet!" She has been called "honey" by a cute, young policeman and by a flirt in a movie, she was also called a "slut" by some lady at a different movie - she must be passing. So I guess your right in one sense that without constructive criticism we really don't know howfore we are (I don't care who you are that's funny), but from one stand point the sisters with the gonads to go out in public and that don't have the constructive criticism on their appearance are in a way saying - "in your face - society!" "We are who we are and we are in your face." Even if we pass we have made a statement for all our sisters.
Look at Kersten, going into a store basically "en drab" and trying on dresses - how cool is that??!!! We are pioneers -girls!! and pioneers take the arrows so our sisters who follow can be themselves without the social injustice that some of us incur! Sorry. Danielle, guess I got on a soapbox!
Anyway, Deborah will dress and go forth and if she is outed as I have said it will be for dress-code violations and not for physical appearance cause she does like to dress conservatively sexy!!!!
Love ya' all

As it says, we do not discuss how we can have all the physical and mental characteristics of a male and still say that we are not in some form sexually attracted to what we see in the mirror. This attraction for some may, I say MAY, be a distraction as they are, in a male sexual sense, attracted to what they see. I believe this is an issue with SO's, how does one dress the counter part that we claim we are attracted to and say we are not attracted to what we see? We are claiming that we are super-human. That we can at will turn on and off our sexuality.
I do not think that is the case for all, but, it seems to be rather TABOO on our forum.

OK, OK, its starting to make sense to me now! Yes, I am sexually attracted to what I see in the mirror. Not bragging mind you, but Deborah does turn me on and I (dare I say this) I would think that she would turn on any red-blooded male with a heart beat! She may not be their type, too old, too blonde, too brunette, too built, too confident, but she is ALL WOMAN uh, with one minor exception or two, but who's counting. I, as a male, like what I see in the mirror, sexually, yes, but being that she is me I also like her for who she is. Like the time Deborah was in the park for an eveing walk and she was "outed" by a 20 something GG who was walking with two guys, the GG said from about 10 yards away, "That's a guy." One of the guys said, "NO Way!" as we passed I just looked at them and smiled and one of the guys said and I quote, "If that's a guy, I'd do HER!"
Anyway that is my interpretation of what you are attempting to teach us. Front or back of the class???
Love ya,
Deborah

Sorry, I beg your indulgence just once more but one other thought. Once we leave the mirror and are out in public, I let Deborah take over (not that she hasn't already) but the walk, the stature, the head held high, the smile, not thinking sexual because the male is "outta here!!!!!" So Deborah is on her own and just doing her thing!
Love ya,
Deborah

Thank you Deborah for your honesty. I only bring this issue up since [TRI-ESS] members have long said that there is no direct relationship between their dressing and their personal sexuality.
The "birds and the bees" know better. I think that being honest about this in no way diminishes whom we are and what we stand for. Society has long tied this to people that would be considered "deviant." While we may deviate from the "norm", whatever that is, we should not be considered in a negative way as is implied with the word "deviant" in that context.
Thank you for demonstrating once again that TG girls are human and can exceed in word, deed, and thought, providing a better quality individual for society to emulate.
