Man Oh Man - Heavy Bill/Birthday month

Post by Lorna »

I know a lot of you gals can relate to this...having lots of heavy obligations really stinks, especially when you're unemployed & living in NY. :?

Just gave $300 to the stupid electric company. Next week I have to pay the stinking phone and the stupid cable/internet bill. Then I have to pay another rotten fine to the smelly Traffic Courthouse by the 25th (my little trouble back in March)

On top of all this, I have 3 birthdays to deal with this month. Meaning going out & spending money I don't have for dinner & gifts & drinks & all that rot.

A Chia Pet & 1 drink. That's all!! If you want dinner, I'm not paying for it!! In fact, scratch the Chia Pet too! A card! I'm out of work. Deal with it. !!tongue!!

Sorry.... But when you're unemployed, even pleasantries become a major pain in the keyster.

Please let my Lotto numbers come in... or let September come fast... [-o<

(sokay to make light of this thread & poke a little fun - just making light of a pain-in-the butt situation that we have all been in)

Lorna,

I hope the birthday people understand your financial straits. The New York metropolitan area has a high cost of living, remembering from my 25 years living 75 miles north of the city and a visit or so each year to the general area seeing higher prices than the Buffalo, NY area.

If I were one of the birthday people, I would be happy with a card from you, knowing that you cared enough to remember me on my birthday.

Your birthday people maybe won't feel the same, but that's tough for them.

Exactly, hon! Thank you!! =D>

I'm confident they will be content with a card tho... but taking the train & even buying my own dinner still adds up... followed by a night at some big club... yikes!

I can swing that, but it stinks not having anything left over to treat myself to something cute or to a movie... *sigh*

I just can't wait for this month to pass! #-o

Hi all,

Lorna,

To heck with the card! If I were one of the birthday people, and I knew you well enough to be aware of your situation, I'd say, "forget the card; forget the Chia Pet; just bring your groovy ol' butt and your witty transgendered self down here and let's dance and party all night long and drown our sorrows in the finest bottled water!"

Who's Heavy Bill, by the way? Do I know him? (Do I want to know him?)

Love,
CJ

LOL CJ!

I know what your saying, Birthdays always fall in the same month for me too. Most annoying, hope all is well Lorna and like Jadeanne said just get them a card, and you don't have to buy them a card, make them one :) Heehee, just like the kiddie days you can give them paper birthday cards that won't stand up and put them in home made envelopes :) wahoooooo lol

I got something simulare birthday wise that is Lorna I got a bros B-Day 10days after mine and I only see if a few times a year now. As toward owing money to the old power&electric I will make you cringe as I usually only have to pay my local CO $15.00 or so yes that is real and one of the reason I will deal with living in a secure building.
