leg hair removal

Post by Pauline »

hello ladies ((G)) I wasn't too sure where to put this topic...

I'm wondering which would b the best (& cheepest) way to keep my leg's hairless... I have shaved them which got tiresome...then used an elipilator ouch ouch too painful..

I have been thinking of getting them waxed or using a product from a company like veet... all responces welcome..

Hi All, well I prefur to shave as Nair takes to long. But I do find once you start shaving you do it more often. (--) Carol Ann

You might consider the occasional waxing....... I don't do it often, generally at the end of the summer, but the results last a lot longer and the hair does grow back much thinner....

I find that I get the best results with Nair. I get too much irritation on my chest from shaving and since I'm Nairing my chest, I do my legs also.

Ladies ((G))
Thank you for your reply's and comments, i will look into what Nair is after i have typed this out... oooh scary... just as i was typin this... in the dark with only the monitor light to see the keyboard a long legged spider ran accross the keys.. oooh made me jump <<^o^>>

Waxing...hmmm reading that reminded me of the film "what women want" when the actor used the wax on part of his leg and his face after he pulled... ouch... i am wondering how painful it is?? though the suffering and the result... hmmm 50/50 really...lol

As i've never been to have my leg's waxed im just wonderin what sort of prices(uk) i am looking to pay?? and i am a bit anxious about going in (the what are they thinking of me view point)...

Hi Pauline,

Waxing...

I have been waxed many times both in the UK and in France and for that really smooth feel you can't beat it!

I can only generalise because evryone's body hair is different as are tolerances of pain. There certainly is some discomfort but not the agony that some might tell you. My legs are probably the least painful part - not nearly as hard as chest, underarms and pubic area.

Prices will vary tremendously. At my local beauty clinic they charge £15 but when I have a complete wax I will be charged according to the total time taken to accomplish the task.

An increasing number of salons are now undertaking waxing services for men although may not necessarily wax all parts of the body. My local salon advertise in their leaflet prices for men for back, chest, abdomen, arms and legs but if you want a 'complete' wax the owner will happily do this as long as you are a 'nice person'.

The downside is that you have to let your hair grow to a reasonable length - in my case this takes 3 or 4 weeks and the hair may start to grow back after only a week or so. Again this time will depend on your hair type.

Go and try it, Pauline, and I don't think you need have any fears about what they will think. |O|O|O|
