The Roses Begin to Blossom

Post by Virginia »

Read the posts! More and more of us are taking the big step of begining to interact with society, cauiously for some, more daring for others, but none the less interacting. It is kind of like a garden of roses beginning to blossom! The petals are opening and a gentle breeze is wafting us to places we have never been before. BUT, if we look back over our shoulder we see the garden from which we come and we can only smile as we are prepared to meet whatever challenges come our way - WHY?, because of the love and sharing we have received from our sisters here and we will not be far away in heart, mind, body or soul!!

Deborah,

I am a long way from going out in public, yet I know exactly what you mean about everyone here. Whenever I feel put down and am struggling to cope, I remind myself that I am accepted here, that people value me and what I say. I know that largely because of this forum I am learning to be myself and not to panic at the same time.

That gives me strength, to see the circumstance through, which helps my confidence for the next time

Love

Virginia,

Yes, you are right, and I would be lying if I said that this place did not make me unafraid to go out. Not completely, but everytime I go out now, I feel better and better. I have been out for the last 4 days now, and have dressed at home every day for the last week. And have been wearing my night gown in the evenings for well over a month now. Before that I was wearing girls shoes and nail polish, girls jewelry for over a month. I don't see me going back. But who knows. I may return to the work force if I keep improving, and there are not many jobs that would let me crossdress at work. Especially as a Estimator, but you never know?

Love always,
Elizabeth

Virginia, I have noticed this too!

Isn't it really uplifting to see, I honestly think we are all pushing each other forward to achieve great things. Long may it continue! ((G))

In a strange way it is the opposite for me. I have been going out for years, but I find something comforting coming to this site. What good is going out unless you have friends, It gets quite boring by yourself. I sometimes would get all dressed up, go to a club and stand there alone watching videos. I could do this at home. But here I can interact with many different and wonderful girls. Especially their life stories and adventures.

I like it here

ps Although sometimes I do like to go out alone it eases the mind.

Amelie,
There is a very active Tri-Ess chapter in the Baltimore area and one in DC and another in Northern Va. You should contact any of them and visit. I think you would find not only some friends to go out with, but that you have a lot in common with some of the girls there. I am sure the Baltimore Sun has a listing of various groups for TG.TS, CD and who to contact or you could call the paper and ask for some numbers. I had a great time on my first outing last week, wish I could have gone out to dinner and clubbing, but anyway it served as a warm-up for Atlanta.
Get out, girl and join a group or chapter and have fun!!!!
