The beginings of Connie Lynn

Post by ConnieLynn »

I hope this little bit of info is okay to tell. Its not an easy thing for me to do.

The Beginings of a Lady,
Miss Connie Lynn
In reality I have to say that I "started" being a 'c-d' when I was about a year old. Although I have no memory of this,(Other than what I have been told), up until I was about 3. Thats when I recall dressing as a girl quite alot. You see my dear daddy was not really very nice alot of the time. And when I as a 3yr old boy would run up to him all happy that he was home that I just wanted to give him a big hug, even though he was all dirty from working at the lumbermill all day, well I got backhanded and knocked accross the kitchen by him because he was still in his dirty clothes, which I did not care about. Anyway I would be crying and at least 2 or 3 of my 5 older sisters would take me upstair's, clean me up, put me in a dress with pretty bow's in my hair, and pretty shoes and so often a little bit of perfume, then I would go back down stairs to see my daddy and My sisters would say "Hi daddy, isnt Connie pretty today?" He would look up from his paper and tell me how pretty I looked and I would then go and get lifted up by him and sit on his lap. I remember that sometimes he even read the paper to me! I felt so happy as Connie!!

Now I do not know where the name Connie came from, But it was given to me first time by my #3 sister Clara. I added Lynn many years later.

Anyway, I dressed as a girl most all the time when at home when I was little, I had several dresses and pairs of shoes, I had ribbons and bow's and so many beautiful little girl things! I even had dolls to play with!! I hated being a boy a lot of the time. Boys had to wear pants and stupid clothes. And they had to play outside, and they got all dirty and so on. But girls got to dress pretty and be inside and cook, and sew and do all kinds of fun stuff. I even got to pretend I was a mommie!

But this all came to a crashing end about a week before I started first grade. All I remember is that I heard my dad tell my mom and sisters that "He was not going to have a damn "fairy" for a son!! that from now on I was to dress as a boy all the time, and no more girl crap!"

So all my dresses and pretty things were disposed of. And I was now so totally confused and very very sad and depressed. Hell I thought a fairy was like the little thing that flew around the t.v. screen at the start of the Walt Disney show! I mean crap, I was only 6!!

So Connie was put aside for quite a long time. And I did my best to just be "Bill" but it wasn't easy sometimes.

The next chapter of my life will come a little later.
Hugs, Connie Lynn.

Hi Connie Lynn

A very tender tale, and very delicately put =D>

Mixed signals ? although my tale is very different, I got them too. One thing we don't get is lessons in parenthood. My dad always encouraged me to be creative, loving and aware. But when all the blokes where he worked started to boast about how their sons were toughening up, that's just how he wanted me to be, and came on heavy-handed with me when I was about 14.

"SO, what y'gonna do with your life EH ?"
"I like painting"
"Well, all the blokes at work, their sons are gonna' do apprenticeships, so what y'gonna do ?"

Looking forward to hearing more of your story, that was very well written, thankyou

Love

Connie, What a heart felt story! You know, "back then" and I guess for some parents now, they did not "have a clue" Some do now, but evidently your father was not "eduated" as to how to deal with girls and boys. I mean, girls did "girl" things and boys were, well boys! The fact that he did intiially accept you when dressed as Connie, by your sisters evidently helped you even though you were forced to supress your anima for some time.
Anyway, welcome to your "Magical Mystery Tour." We hope yo continue to enjoy it!

Hi there Connie,

Sorry I missed this beginnings story. Your story reminds me a lot of the movie I saw just recently. I put a link to it in the Link Of Interest section under the DVD Rentals thread.

I loved your beginnings story and I can't wait to hear about how you dressed in your teens up to now.

Thank you for posting your beginnings! :)
