Breastform problems

Post by Carol Ann »

Hello Ladies, I need a little from the girls who have forms
I just purchased forms and they are wonderfull except for one little problem, they fit perfect in only two of my bras :-k . If I wear an underwired bra they pushup over the top and to the middle not staying in the bra properly. :( How I understand the bra is only doing it's job, cleavage. . Now do you think I should get a larger cup size or go to a bigger bra around the chest as I am sure a 38C is a bigger cup then a 36C. What have you al done? (--) Carol Ann

CarolAnn I am far from an expert, but from what I know, most forms are a "D" or bigger, remember they were not designed for us but for GG's. The two measurements for bras are the band size (your chest and you say you are a 38 = 38" chest.) The cup size is small A to B, C,D,DD etc. I wear either a C or D cup depending on the manufacturer, they can vary between like Playtex, Bali, Maidenform, Olga, VS, etc. A lot of it has to do with either the look you are trying for or the particular blouse or dress you are going to wear. I can only relate my experience and I use Pals forms and I have never had a problem with them shifting. My opinion is and it works for me, the C or D cup but the main thing is the band fits firmly not tight, but firm. A wider band in the back can help too, minimum of three hooks seems to help keep the entire package stable. Iwill admit I have given quite a few bras to Goodwill that I bought tried and they just did not work for me. Eventuallyyou will find a style and manufacturer that works for you. For me, PLaytex and Breezies do NOT work, Olga is my favorite along with Bali. I have seen bras for $35.00 to $40.00 pretty expensive and I have not bought any of them yet! My style is "conservatively sexy" I like my feminine attributes to show just a bit through my blouse in certain situations. I guess it is just kind of a trial and error. Don't know if I have helped. Good luck and let us know what seems to work out for you!
Love,
Virginia

Carol,

I've never been into underwear too much, more into dresses, but I have 3 bras, 2 are fine and the 3rd one is ok but it does do what you say in that it sort of pushes the breastforms out slightly.

If I put a tight top or dress on it's fine but I think if I just had the bra on and ran it would maybe end in disaster  So I can't really offer any advice just that I have noticed that not all bras are ideal with breastforms :)

Thanks Virginie, Sophie, you both stated kind of what I had figured out. I started out with water balloons for a long time and the breast forms are a lot fuller I will try a Dcup in a 36 as I think a 38 will be a little loose, (--) Carol Ann

Hi Carol Ann :)

I have 3 pairs of silicone breast forms and by trial and error I´ve learned a few lessons :) I think you should get a non-underwire bra ( no push-ups with forms) and perhaps larger cup size. It is important to have a right band size because the forms are quite heavy and don´t stay put if the band size isn´t correct. I have many underwire bras and some of them work fine with forms but cup must be 1-2 sizes larger than with non-underwire bras so that the form is fully covered and the underwire won´t damage the form. My favorites are classic bras without underwires :) :)
I hope this helps!

Hmm... that tape does work. You just need 2 tapes per breastforms and not 1, when I went out for a walk lastnight I went out braless and it all stayed together. I was out for about an hr as well :)
