Is this sort of confusion common amongst us??

How are you dealing with or handling this aspect of your life?

thanks you all for the supportive replies..they are just what I need at the moment.
Last night was another sleepless one, juggling with thoughts..coming to conclusions, finding flaws in my conclusions....
maybe it is my subconcious telling me I have yet to fully accept the feminine side of my personality...or a need to be wanted after 4 years of being single..
I really dont know the answer at the moment..but hopefully I'll sort out my true self one day soon.
And you thought I was dead.

Hi all,

Eloïse,

Four years single, eh? :-k Hmmmm, now why does that strike a chord with me? Yes, the need to feel loved and wanted--I have this almost as much as my need to be touched and to be held. Don't despair. Just be who you are; there's a girl out there looking for someone just like you.

And, by the way, that is a cool avatar; being a "Christina" is all the more honourable for having the name associated with young miss Ricci. Good choice, girl. 8)

Love,
CJ

CJ,

What ever happened with that new girl that moved into your neighborhood??
Have you seen her lately?? Have you been able to talk to her yet??

Hi all,

You're very welcome, Eloïse! 8)

Wendy,

Sadly, no, no news. Aside from those two times, I never saw her again. :( (For those of you that are curious, this is the thread Wendy's referring to: http://crossdressers-forum.com/forums/v ... php?t=1681)

Love,
CJ

OOHH NOO!!! Is everyone here straight?

I dress cause I want to be a woman, so in keeping with that I want to be with a man. In a weird sense I woudn't say I'm gay in thinking like that. But in reality I am gay. Although I haven't been with anyone for years, I don't feel the need to run around. I would like to find Mr. right and fall in love. Well maybe Mr. Pretty good will do. I am not interested in other CDs, just someone who's a doctor and looks like George Micheal. I know it's a long shot but I also play the lottery.

Wendy,
Thanks for the link to the "Autogynephilia" Interesting subject it just seems that this topic has come up before, i.e., lables and mental illness, and the difference between TG and TS and CD which are labels also.Anyway, thanks and I intend to wear out my printer on this information.
See ya in Hot'Lanta!

Hi all,

Amélie...   Good point! No, I don't think everyone here (or out there in the real world of CD-land) is straight, although I suspect most are. We probably have a mixed (and, given the title of this topic, "mixed-up") bag of individuals on the forum. And that's cool! 8)

I think Merinda hit the nail on the head about the difference between illusion and reality. I think everyone finds illusions interesting and that is why many of us enjoy the pics people post; they are very creative. I have always enjoyed being with women, but I can understand someone being curious about all aspects of the female experience. Only you can really know how you feel. I truly do not care about a person's orientation, but I do care about how compassionate and thoughtful they are. Everyone deserves to be loved.

The term autogynephilia was coined in 1989 by Ray Blanchard, a clinical psychologist at the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry in Toronto.
I have read a little (second hand admittedly) about Blanchard's ideas, but I am not convinced by them. If I had no sex drive at all, I think that I would still CD. I feel that CDing is more about artistic creativity and emotions rather than sex drive. Am I misreading his work Wendy?

1) It's *because* this is a *G rated* environment I return now & then ...

2) Interesting Thread Theme ... a question that has presented itself to many of us over time I suspect ...

3) Some interesting replies ... as far as *conventional wisdom* goes ... Doctors Whomever and their musings ... to me they are just people who *turn the lights out and pretend that in so doing they understand blindness* ...

To me ... their concepts are as relevant to our concerns as what oxcarts are to space travel ...

I'm still searching for the clues that reassure me Androgynous people will someday be understood and described in terms of
*who_they_are* rather than *what_they_wear_&_how_they_do_what_to_whom* ...

Q1) How long will it take for us to get past the *package* and into the *goods* ???

Q2) How long will it be before *Flat Earth Mindsets* are put into *Humanity's History Books* ???
