You talking to me??

Post by Eloise Goth »

has anyone ever said something to you thats left you lost for words??
I was getting my hair cut a few yaers back, when the guy cutting it said to me 'you've got the perfect nose for nasal sex'. now, I was a shy country boy so didnt sy anything. and this was in the days before the internet, so I couldnt find out what it was. When I eventually got round to doing a google search for it just a few months ago, I was...erm...well, go look, and you'll know.
And you thought I was dead.

My one time that stands out was I was preparing to give a presentation to about two hundred people. I was standiing at the podium just getting ready to make my first comment when a late comer walked in. She was absolutely "drop-dead" georgeous, and the body .... iiiieeeeee! and the mini-skirt! Well I have been doing presentions like this for 15+ years and I totally lost it!! I was "struck dumb!" I tried not to stare (or drool!) but the time from when I first saw her and she sat in the front row - until I briefly excused myself seemed like hours, but could have only been what 10 -15 seconds! I walked out in the hall faking a "dry throat" got some water and returned to give my presentation. I tried not to look at her during my presentation. I sometime later met her husband, who owned a car dealership and (how do I say this politely) he was one ugly SOB! but I was told that he made Long Dong Silver look like a unick!

Lasting Impressions

Post by Marda »

Hi Eloise,
~
No matter if we ever meet ... no matter what you ever say or do ... no matter what you look or sound like ... no matter whatever, ever happens between the devil, the deep blue and the distant stars above ...

You will always be fondly remembered by the story about how much your barber appreciated your nose

Finding The Silver Lining

Post by Marda »

Hi Eloise,
~
It's as though being the closest and truest of friends for each other, you shared with me one of your deepest, most personal, intimate, and life changing moments ...
mere particles in time before we enjoyed the luxury of hardening our ever loyal and unbreakable bond :?
~

Now that we're inseparable ... I could use a B&B ... how 'bout a *Double* ...

Marda your last two posts to Eloise haven't made sense. ***huh***

They come of kind of like you are poking fun at her story or are you being serious? She didn't say it was one of her deepest, most personal, intimate, or life changing moments so can you please clarify?

Just trying to make sure we understand your last two posts. :-k

Thanks!

Hi Ladies,

Ahh yes ... I get into sooo much trouble poking fun ... but we don't know each other all that well ... and the internet can be a bit "dry" ... and my wacky sense, (or lack of it ?) can be even more dry (or less "wet") ...

I think what I was leading to was a "twist" on Eloise's own Topic Question as quoted above ... a bit of *irony* "if you will" ... when I read the original post, I thought ... "How interesting that I should feel left without words by a question about being left without words" ... and beings how I'm really just reading Eloise's posts for the first time ... I thought "hmmmmm ... how interesting that I shan't probably forget Eloise as the person who asked the ironic question about her "trip to the barber" ... then of course came her reply ...

and so I set out to "meet Eloise" by in a rather "round_about" sort of way by asking her to sit with me for a drink ... "as though through such a strange and "twisty topic" we were now the friends that one might in 3D life normally share such "impactful" stories with" ... Did my "Playfulness" *upset* anyone ??? I *Hope NOT* ! But one *Has* to admit ... the "Barber's Story" has an element of reminiscence to one of Chaucer's more *Spicy* Canterbury Tales :-) No ???

Hi Marda,

I was kind of able to make out a sentence or two from what you said, but I guess what you were saying is you weren't trying to offend her.

I appreciate you saying that.

Well girls, this little confusion here can sort of fall under the very topic at hand!

Oddly enough, I am definitely one of those people who will sometimes blurt something out that either makes NO sense or will inadvertently offend.

Back in college I worked in the mens department for a retail store, and a very stocky man came into the department one day looking for pants. He needed at least a 50 inch waist. I don't know why I said this but it totally came out wrong. I said to the man, "We don't have your size, we only carry normal sizes here."

My manager was within earshot and gave me this look! I could have died... I wanted to say we didn't carry that size. Oops!! #-o rotf

Thank goodness the man didn't pick up on it right away... it was a miracle I wasn't repirmanded. [-X

No need to apologize dear ... and I promise to hereafter remain unaffected by your posts on this rather "milk flavoured forum" ... I now realize they're just *Your* way of being "playful" 8)
