Makeup for beginners

Post by SophieLawson »

I've only ever put makeup on 2 times fully for a number of reasons,

1) I couldn't be bothered to have to wash it all off after lol
2) I didn't have a clue what I was doing
3) I was always a lil scared of putting it on and not being able to get it off lol

Anyways, about February time I tried on some makeup and it was alright as far as I can remember and I managed to wash it all off pretty quickly. However, soon after I threw everything out including all my makeup which cost me a bomb and I hardly ever used lol

Now I've just brought a load of new makeup, which seems to be far better just looking at it, but I still really dont know where to start.

Does anyone know any good sites or any basic tips for doing makeup so that it looks nice. I like dont know if you should do lip linner then lip gloss, if you do lip stick with lip gloss, if you put eye liner then eye shadow then mascarra or if there is even a set routine you should follow?

Hope you can help me out as I am planning on trying out some styles this weekend but I've tried looking on sites for help but I'm not really getting very far 8-[ lol

*edit* I forgot to say, another reason why I dont really do much makeup is cos it doesn't bother me too much, it's just I'm really curious to see what I would look like fully madeup *edit*

Hi Sophie!

Check out this site:

It gives some good advice IMHO for beginners. Also, check out some of the other areas!

I was looking for make-up info myself, and found this site http://www.jenellerose.com/make_up.htm, which seems to have a lot of information and/or links to info.
