Fun Things that Just Happen

Yesterday, I won a (very small) dance contest! My wife and I were at Trader Joe's, which is a Los Angeles area institution--a combination liquor store, health food store, discount food store--and a really fun place to shop. I was dressed femme, really casual--jeans, clogs, and a tee shirt. And over the P. A. system they started playing that oldie, "Let's Twist Again (Like We Did Last Summer)". And one of the store employees came on and said, "O. K. you can twist in the aisles!" encouraging everyone to dance. Well, I did! (We were waiting in line at the checkout stand). Just fooling around, killing time. And when the song ended, one of the baggers came over and handed me a big bouquet, and told me I won the twist contest! I rolled with laughter, and took my bouquet home with our groceries!

I thought it would be fun to have a thread for fun, unplanned things that happen, cuz they're fun to read about. So, when something zany happens to you, please tell us about it!

The last few wedding receptions my wife & I have been to over the past couple of years, the DJ has always played a few twist songs. The twist is the dance I do and like best - it doesn't matter that both my feet act like left ones .

That sounded like a hoot. I love Trader Joes. I remember when you could not buy Altoids anywhere but Trader Joes. As for them having a twist contest how many other people were twisting? Your right the twist is a great dance.
