I think Sharon's idea is still pretty good, Lorna. Let everyone--your friend who's getting married and his group, and your girlfriends--know about the scheduling conflict, that you're going to try to attend both get-togethers, and that you're going to have to make some compromises to do both. As far as the en drab / en femme thing, you might go for something androgynous that can be adapted to be more feminine or less feminine as the circumstances indicate. Each party gets half a loaf, but at least no one actually comes out the loser. :)

I'm with Sharon that way you keep them both Happy and you dont have to miss out on the girls night out wich you planned
And if they bug you about leaving early from the bachelor party then just say you made the other plans before the change of date and cant cancel it

UPDATE:

Post by Lorna »

Well, turns out that my night out with the GGs this Saturday has been cancelled. :?

One girl has to work early Sunday, another has the flu, and the other is still in Jamaica till Monday.

Phooey. :?

Oh well, at least I get to go to the Bachelor Party (even tho it will be a strictly drab night it will still be fun! There will be strippers I'm sure, hehe)

Here's the kicker though - when I go out at night I'm used to being Lorna. I haven't been to a bar, club or restaurant en drab in over 6 months!! So I'll have to monitor my body language & mannerisms very very closely... [-X  rotf
