How to put on pantyhose (correctly)

Post by Love (SO) »

Hello Everyone, :)

This may seem to be a no brainier for some of you.

But, after watching my own husband putting on his pantyhose #-o (by yanking and pulling at them) [-X

I thought that it may be helpful to post a link on how to put on pantyhose ..........correctly :wink:

http://www.filodoro.com/area_pubblica/r ... nt_eng.asp

There is also a section on.........

* "How to recycle ruined pantyhose"

* "When and which pair to wear"

* "How to wash pantyhose"

* "Washing symbols and instructions"

P.S. Don't forget to use hand lotion and make sure nails (fingers & toes) are smooth before putting on any hosiery.

Hi Cindy,
Yes, your right!! I was watching my poor husband and (I) just smiling & shaking my head ))ok(( ......... even though I tried to show him how to put them on correctly, he still puts them on "his way" though ](*,)

Hi Mellissa,

Thanks for the great tip =D> I'll have to try that next time I polish my shoes :)
Here is one of my tips for recycling pantyhose.....rubbing hose on a candlestick will remove small surface scratches and also will restore the shine on the candle.

Hi Lorna,

I have very long nails too ( 1" long), I just make sure that they are nice and smooth and don't have any hangnails....
Hey, that could be another way to recycle pantyhose ':-k maybe test out how smooth your nails are with an old pair \:D/

Hi girls,

Another great use for ruined pantyhose(besides robbing a bank). If any of you have ever worked in an attic, or in an unfinished basement. you know the pain of getting fiberglass insulation in your skin.

Gently rubbing pantyhose on the affected areas will cause the fiberglass to become stuck in he fibers of the pantyhose, and out of you skin. It really works.

Love always,

Elizabeth,

I am not sure why I find your very sensible and practical use for hose so funny, but you put a big smile on my face.

Elizabeth,

That is a great tip. I'm sure to try it this fall when I add another layer of insulation to the attic. Boy you have to love century homes and the lack of insulation. :lol:

I wish I knew that back on the farm during planting season. I used to have to pour the cottonseed into any of the six fiberglass John Deere containers on the tool bar and I usually ended up with a belly full of fiberglass fibers. Sure did itch.
