(sorry, but I can't recommend Tony Robbins PersonalPower Series) ...

so it goes out, and with your secret, inner (unknown possibly even to you) "unhappy self-image", and *inevitibly finds* unhappy events that mysteriously "validate" the negative aspects ...
Then *you*, "Overt" Lorna, stands up and say in a dramatic voice (but quietly so) I'm Tough, So Don't ^%# With Me ...
And then *you*, "Sensitive" Lorna, comes home here and crys ...
And then ...
Well, Here I Am ... trying to give you more of Auntie Marda's *Tough Love* ...

So, have I given you a fresh angle ??? Of course, since I ain't no "shrink", I ain't gonna charge you $500 to &^%$ with *your* head ...

I definitely believe in aural powers. I'm sure that despite the fact that I stepped out all smiles on Friday night, something on another level was just out of sync... and it has been happening to me A LOT this year.

If there is one thing I missed that in hind sight would have been very helpful, and I wish had been provided, was a safe place to cry.

This world can be very cruel, and every one needs a shelter from the storm.

Lorna has indicated that she is being told her slip is showing, from all other sources. I do not aspire to add to her pain, by heaping more pain on her.

Lorna I am honored to be a part of a place such as this that can provide that shelter we all at different times need.

I am giving you another group hug hon. but even it is not big enough to hug you as tight as I would like to.

Excuse me, but I give Lorna more credit than I seem to be hearing on her behalf ... I disagree that the rest of the world is telling Lorna "her slip is showing" and she's coming here to get away from that ...

it seems to me they're trying to "rape her" because of it and I hear her saying in so many words "I'm getting sick of the inhumanity that seems to drive people to attempt to rape somebody just because their slip may be showing" ...

Please help me learn where the pain of destruction stops and the pain of growth starts ...

maybe the world is a bit more screwed up than it needs to be these daze because too many people let everybody else feel sorry for them and nobody took any risks to learn more about using the symptoms of pain to identify and deal with the sources of the discomfort ...

be assured everybody, I didn't '"Rip Lorna's DOB off" without some reasonable sense of her strength and nature, and her motive in laying open her soul here ... Lorna has well demonstrated her true strength of character here over time ...

Lorna has taken my "tough love" before with grace and come back with a fury ...

she doesn't go running to Beauty crying that Auntie Marda hurt her feelings ... she comes back with a "WTF" you talking about ... and then the discussion begins ... and hopefully, if we're all adult and sober, we grow together ...

most others here on this forum and in the outside world I'll happily leave to their personal deals with the forces of the universe ...

Lorna, with her range and depth of posts over the long haul has helped me identify aspects of myself that required and got, or are getting attention ...

as I mentioned to her here in public, figurative warm milk and sugar cookies are useless for adults using *GROWTH* as their vehicle on the path from Painsville ...

If some members are offended by "tough love', then the options are fairly straightforward ... Beauty is well capable of taking care of business ...

What the heck ... I'll even make the first move here and now ... how about an "Adults Only", moderated, restricted and secured system section for those who want the "nitty gritty" ...
