OMG! OMG!! OMG!!! WONDERFUL news!!

Post by Lorna »

It's about time I had good news to share... but check this out! There's a JOB FAIR coming to my area next week!! *-*

It's at the Marriott Hotel in Uniondale, NY. Now in the past they have always held job fairs every few weeks or so, but I guess that due to the dead economy there have NOT been ANY at all this year.

This upcoming job fair will be the FIRST one in 2004!

This is CERTAINLY good news... I am most certain that I will walk out of there with a job. After months upon months of darkness rejection and frustration, FINALLY a light of hope shines my way... [-o<

Well, it's time to press the suit, and print up some more copies of the resume... I just know that I will land something... I will NOT walk out empty-handed!! @@9@@

Hi all,

Good luck to you, Lorna! 8) I'll be sending "job vibes" your way!

Hi Darlene,

A job fair is an event--usually for the whole day--where potential employers come to showcase their companies and highlight employment opportunities. They hold these "fairs" in the hopes, precisely, of attracting applicants (of which I have no doubt our good miss Lorna will be one of the more eager ones present!). Often, you'll see this kind of event on university campus grounds, near the end of the school year.

Love,
CJ

I wish you great luck Lorna!
I've done some special projects for the Workforce Development Division of my agency. I've seen that those fairs are really great and many happy people walk away after interviewing and being offered a job right on the spot.
I'm curious, what field do you work in?

Good Luck Lorna ... also, don't forget, the Christmas rush is coming and there *has* to be something for you due to that as well ... employers, especially in the retail sector can't afford to be understaffed at that time  8)

Hi Mariasgirl,

I've worked as a corporate account/loan officer for several years. I have also worked for almost 2 years as a computer field technician.

Even though recent business has been slow, I also do freelance work as a graphic and web designer and developer.
