Oh Laura,
That is just terrible! Everything said is cliche now and your mind is probably just spinning. I suppose that you gotta have to hold on and believe in yourself. Take some time out and try to believe that things will be better...soon.

She reactivated her match.com profile and started dating other men the same day she broke up with me....which tells me....as wth everything else she has told me..., that I can't believe what she says, only what she does. And, in looking at what she has done, I don't think she ever loved me. She used me for money and sex, and that hurts....alot

No Hankies
Hi Laura,
~
Some may think I'm a cold, mean SOB ... others know I'm not
In a group therapy session I attended, one of the rules for crying was that "everyone must respect everyone else's right to cry whenever they need to" ...
another rule was "It's not OK to pass that person a hankie, unless the person first asks for one" because that communicates the nonverbal message that your crying is making them feel uncomfortable and that may tend to discourage them from honestly crying when the need arises ...
So, "no hankies for you" (unless you need one) ...
~
As an opinion, that was a very "touching" letter, but given the latest information, it seems you 've been released back into the universe by an unfriendly force and you now have another chance for real life and real love ...
I for one have fortunately escaped such "death sentences" as what it seems you're revealing ... my suggestion for you is to keep your head up and your nose into the fresh air of freedom ... your tears will dry ... the feelings you're having prove you're alive and functioning as a real human being ... my sense is that your "ex" cannot boast such a luxury ...
Look forward Laura >>>>> feel the real power inside you

Laura,
Although I know it hurts, it was a good letter in that it says a lot of good about you. Perhaps there is something with in her that is preventing her from being the kind of person that would be good for you. I would seriously consider being a friend of a person like that, once you are able to get past the pain you are now going through..

2 Way Streets
Interesting point Darlene ... yet something else tells me Friendship is a 2 Way Street ... "If You Want A Friend You Have To Be A Friend" ...Darlene wrote:Perhaps there is something with in her that is preventing her from being the kind of person that would be good for you. I can also accept the possibility that Ms.Ex has gone to the dating service with an emergency state-of-mind hoping to fill an immediate and possibly painful void on her part ...
I guess it's easier to consider these academic options without the heaviness of heart that Laura now feels ...
Now,I'm curious to hear what Gelinda has to offer ?
