Not trying to be cute, but Yes & No ...
imh outlook, the state of Androgyny involves having characteristics of both genders ...
which from the viewpoint of an investigative mind is quite different from saying "*Not* having distinctive characteristics" ...

Hence my own personal preoccupation with "reformatting Earthling:DRIVE C:\" if you will, and starting the entire analysis of gender identity with an entire new set of perspectives ... (ie. maybe MSWindows has had it's best times and now it's really a good idea to look further into LINUX for future "solutions" instead of just more and newer versions of Dirty Old Windows = maybe a bad example, especially since I'm not a real techie ... but you get the idea)
Personally, I think most of the developed world's population is unprepared and/or reluctant to ever push *any* reset buttons ... that to me is one of the most fundamental and dangerous basics of assumptions taken by "conventional wisdom" ...
In the Great scheme of the Universe, I think Earthlings know quite a bit less than they think they know and they're too stubborn, proud, insecure, arrogant, greedy, or whatever to admit any of that ...

As an Androgynous person, it "offends" me to think mainstream "Distinctively Identifiable Male & Female Gender" Earthlings will quite arrogantly pretend to "know" that because I challenge many of their CW Assumptions, that I must be wrong ...
in fact, if we really think about what Einstein (for example) is saying about the basis of "Racial Prejudice" (for example) in a post in another section of this forum, we see that he argues pretty convincingly that human "Tradition" is the main source of any stability and perpetuity for an accepted pattern or set of behaviours ... in that case the historic "Slavery of Negroe People" ...
So, we stick to invalid assumptions, because that's the traditional thing to do, and then we think we're comfortable and then we start to die before we've given ourselves a fair chance at real life ...
