Coping - well not exactly!

At the SCC last week a girl from Texas did a comedy stand-up routine and she finished on somewhat of a serious note and please understand I will take many liberties with her closing statement, but the basis is the same:
" I will NOT GO GENTLY INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT!" I plan to come screaching in with dented fenders, maybe a bit of rust, and possibly a couple of cylinders not ringing true, a headlight and maybe a tail light out, tires worn bald from screeching around courners at high speed and maybe even twisting the speedometer off the dial. When I hit the bottom of that six foot deep rectangle and before they toss that first shovel of dirt, I wanta look up and scream "man, wasn't that great - what f'.in ride!!!!"
Now that's the way to live life! Thanks Texas!

Well whatever this was it looks like it hit home for your Virginia and that's what I think both Darlene and I are saying.

Jamie Ward was the comedian.... and that statement sums up her approach to life to a "T" (pun intended)......

Jamie's statement is pretty close to one I received in an email at work earlier this year. This is the way it read:

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming... "WOW... WHAT A RIDE!!!"
