seasons of change / does the weather influence your CDing?
Hi girls,
Today in Melbourne the temperature was 32 degrees (C) which converts to about 94 degrees ( F ) roughly , it is a typical October day approaching Summer down under.
At this time of year my desire to crossdress fades and I tend to do other things for most of my free time , the thought of giving it up completely is hanging over me at the moment as it does every year when the weather gets warm.
Come May , cool to cold late Autumn days and the desire to CD is overwhelming , I feel I want to dress more and more.
I am used to this cycle so I wont consider giving it away because I know that this feeling doesn't last.
The question is" does weather change your CDing desire?" or am I alone on this one?

Well at the moment it is freezing over here Merinda, it doesn't change my desires it just means I don't enjoy shaving as much and stuff cos it's so cold!
Also I hate the feeling of getting goosebumps when I've just shaved my legs
I normally find I would rather dress up more in the summer cos it's far easier for me to just throw clothes on quickly without worrying about getting cold

Hi Merinda !
It certainly does affect my desire to CD. The weather is getting colder here in northern Europe but my feelings for dressing are getting warmer.
T-shirts aren´t necessary any more so last week I shaved my whole body (not my head
)and the softness of female underwear feels so wonderful.
I also like to dress fully, I mean wearing bra, panties, slip and cami top, pantyhose, a dress or a blouse and a skirt. In summer it´s way too hot to do that. I also have less other activities in winter so there´s plenty of time to dress

Hi all,
Now that the weather is getting cooler, my computer room (upstairs) will be cooler and I can wear more layers. Earlier this week, Maid Jadeanne moved cold weather clothing from the storage closet in the guest room closet to the main bedroom closet.
As the weather gets colder, I start reaching more for sweaters and some outfits that are a little heavier. I will also sometimes layer my stockings.

Hi Merinda!
I've noticed a rather intense swing in my dressing, not-purging--just a drop in degree---or a jump in degree like this fall!
last mid-summer I started wondering if it was a pattern that matched equinoxes and solstices---more than the temps even.
Being on OZ would perhaps create these patterns in " opposite."
I do realize that I can see shapes in the clouds some days and might just be projecting my nature on the seasons.
I hope you are very WELL on the otherside of the world and I admire your earlier posts on tempering your desires to create harmony within your family.
I think Beauty was right in another post about the initial " freedom" felt by letting repressed expression out...that was me to " T" this time last year.
I must admit I made it a little difficult for my girl-friend at the time. I didn't realize how consuming I let it become.
I think Gaby called it a " pink-cloud" last summer.
I Know that cloud too well and am trying to grow more casual about clothes and expressing my gender-crossing nature in ways that give back recognizable tools for maintaining self-esteem
---not just a pause into the pleasures of softness.
Your thoughts have really helped me with this!---thanks and goodluck with the railway photos!
( I'd love to hear more about that if you have time)-------Tc

Hi Tea Cake,
Thank you for saying that.
I really haven't gotten much feedback from those who have gone through what you said Gaby called the Pink Cloud days (I like that)
As people mature with the forum, I think maybe there will be more folks who experience the euphoria dissipate as their feelings become more normalized or less intense. I don't mean less fun I just mean it's more day to day. The same way driving a car or wearing femme undies becomes not such a big deal. What I mean is the desire to dress isn't associated with being complete. The ability to express yourself whenever you want and not go back in to the closet becomes more important. The freedom to dress when you want to also becomes more important. I think this is phase can go on longer than a year for some. So I'm not saying one size fits all. I've just noticed that we all tend to dress more moderately the more we dress and have the freedom to dress, but it's the exception and not the norm.
Remember in 8th grade when girls came to school that year? It was like someone had raided their wardrobes. The makeup was layered on at the begininng. Their outfits were risque and got more risque until the girls reached their late mid to late 20s and then they started dressing more their age. They still have their sexy clothing they wear for special occasions, but they don't wear high skirts with 5 inch heels to the mall in their late 30s and up. The majority I mean. Some still do and won't ever stop. Just like some of us.
So in a way I feel we mature the same way except much faster, because we are older. Younger CD'rs should dress a little sexier than older CD'rs because emotionally and maturity-wise (I love making up words) they still are like our gender sharing GGs in a way.
I've sooo gone on longer than I wanted to about this. For all I know everything I've said only applies to you and me Tea Cake.
Sorry for the ramble everyone.
Thank you again so much Tea Cake!!

Thanks TC and Beauty,
I think Beauty hit the right word ( phase ) , I go through the" full-on phase" and the " I cant be bothered phase " and the " coasting along phase".
Hot weather will put me in the " I cant be bothered phase".
Winter weather enhances my desire to dress " full-on phase"
"Coasting along phase" can be during hot or cold weather.

Hi,
Beauty and Tea-cake described me very well. I dress full time at home in the house. I go out occasionally to tend garden and flowers in mini skirts, coulots(sp), woman's tank tops, peasant blouses, and sandals. I do this au-natural. A neighbor woman called, after I was seen watering flowers fully made up, and read my wife the riot act last year for my behavior and the affect on her children. It scared me a lot and I stopped going out. I started going out this summer again as I said above. I hoped a man in a skirt was less threatening and I still felt wonderful. The neighbors are talking to my wife normally again, but only when I am not home. I am hoping they get over their fear.
I have been afraid to go in public this summer. Colder weather is here and I hope to go out and mingle soon. I have a need to be me and complete the circle by interacting with other people. I had 4 or 5 wonderful times shopping last winter and hope to do more this winter.
Yes, I feel colder weather gives me greater opportunity to be me.
