!!!yes!!!

Your right, at the last count the Government here in UK had placed 85% Tax levy on fuel. They had planned to increase the tax very year to discourage people from using their cars. But two years ago we had a National Go Slow where all vehicle traffic was brought to a halt by the hauliers and farmers.

This latest agreement on Global Warming with Russia may re-start that tax spiral again. In which case I will join another National Go Slow.

Its OK in theory to say use your car less, but there are no realistic alternatives. I drive twelve miles to work every day. This takes 40 minutes each way.
If I relied on public transport the same journey would take 2 hours each way.

I dont know where all the tax in the UK goes. I suspect it goes to line certain individual pockets. If George Bush does launch an attack on four more countries, I hope that his Pet Dawg does not follow him again.

I think most modern cars are girly, unless you want to spend $30,000 on your grocery getter. So I drive a Grand Am, which I bought because I got a deal on it. However, my masculine side has the king of muscle cars. :-$ It's funny, I won't go around that car as a girl, the incongruity is overwhelming.
Adriana Lima and I were born with each other's bodies. I hope someday this mistake can be reversed.

I drive a full size GMC extended cab pick-up.. black (I hate black) but it towes my camper and gets me around. I do wish it got better gas milage. Here in maine I think the color would be the girlish thing, not the type of car or truck.

Silver and black Chrysler New Yorker. High maintenance, but it makes me feel important and sybaritic. It's a '95 but low mileage (75,000).

Well I love my Dodge Diesel D2500 Extended Cab Pickup in White 4x2 Long bed. I have a 36' 5th travel trailer that I pull with it.

I am looking for a vechicle to use as a company vehicle I am thinking of a Jetta with the 1.9 TDI Diesel as it gets 50mph where as my pickup does get 20mph.

I was also thinking of a s40 or s50wagon Volvo for me to use for work.

I looked at the S40 when I changed my car last year. But It is very low slung which didnt suit my wife's arthritis for ease of getting in and out. Ive never heard of the S50 , but here in UK we have the S60 which is a very nice motor.
My Ford Mondeo 2L Diesel returns 54 to imperial gallon on a run, towing my caravan or driving around town, the mpg drops to about 35 but then I am a bit heavy on the gas pedal.

It is a v50 which is the wagon for the s40 size. as the v70 is the wagon for the s60.

I would love to have one of the new mustangs but company policy says no sports cars. I love the new old style of the mustang. Gelinda

I own a Chevy El Camino. It's a '65, and it has a 350 ci engine. It pushes about 330 horsepower. Basically, it's not so much a car as a rubber-burning machine.

I drive a sky blue Toyota Matrix. Girlie enough?

I want a hybrid but so far they just don't make them with enough room for all the people and the stuff I need to cart around. At least not in my price range, anyway.
