Quantum theoretical ideas

Post by Jessie »

For every action every possibility has happened just as the universe splits with each action. I happen to believe in this idea (sort of). My case for it being here is that if this theory is true then some where in that quantum universe there is an exact opposite of you MALE=FEMALE. The question whould you want to meet your quatium oppiste. I have sometimes think about it a lot about what my other self whould do or act or how the wolrd whould be differnt for my true female self.

Does that make sense... If not then just say so.

Jessie With to much time on to think sometimes.

Well seeing as how you asked Jessie,

I can not follow that line of thinking, it dose not make sense to me and if it did, of what use would it be? How would that benefit my life?

I was not really thinking of it to better any one life more of what if what other possabilties whould have happened if. You know the "IF" factor. I know it is kind of out there but it is something I have been thinking and just wanted to know what others thought that's all.

Hi Jessie,

I know of Everette's "Relative State" interpretation of Quantum Mechanics, which has affectionately become known as the "Many Worlds" interpretation. For those of you who may be interested, here is a really good paper on it.

http://www.hedweb.com/manworld.htm

What it bascally says is that anytime any event has a possible outcome with more than one possiblity, all possibilities are realized. And the universe splits into all these seperate universes, representing each possible outcome. Meaning the universe is infinitely splitting into other seperate universes each with thier own history and each with there own future, thereby all possbilities are realized. However, no separate universe can ever know of any other universe. So in your concious state you are continually splitting into your own reality, unaware that it is even happening.

The only real problem with this theory is that it is counter intuitive. Mathmatically it works better in many regards than the "Copenhegan" interpretation, because the observer is given no special status.

The bottom line is, if you believe this theory, there is a universe where you are a girl, and where you have had SRS. For everytime you have thought about it, there was a probability that you would have decided to do it. No matter how small, that would have been realized. So there may also be a universe where you are a serial killer. Laff.

I still am not convinced of the "Relative State" interpretation, and beleive that as observers we do influence the outcome of our own experience. And this also fits more closely with the fact that it has now been proven that there is no local reality.

Interesting topic.

Love always,
Elizabeth

Jessie,

I happen to believe in this also, or at least an idea the same. I do believe that every single action we can take in any given situation is performed in a parall universe. I believe that dejar voes are linked with this.

I've often thought that if we were able to get out of our solar system we would simply see the same system repeated forever and ever just with the different actions taking place.

I dunno how it all started but I often wonder if it started with 1 system and then each possible action was taken creating another system, and so on and so on...

I dunno if anyone else ever gets this, but sometimes I can be sat down at a table holding a cup of water say. Now, I can for a split secound sometimes see me say throwing that cup of water over someone. I can sometimes even feel it happening and I'm scared sometimes that I might do it lol

I wonder if this is linking with another universe where I am taking that action? I wonder if ghosts are linked to these other universes. I wonder if aliens are linked, I wonder if Aliens are simply us travelling from the future, I wonder if those balls of light that are said to be ufos are really the universes somehow interlinking.

All I know is that anything slightly paranormal fascintes me sooo much! I hope one day we find the answers to questions like alien, ghosts etc etc

What I do think is that no matter what I do on this earth I cannot change anything, however hard I may try I truly believe the same ultimate outcome will always happen. Would I like to meet my opositeself, yeahh :) Be cool, I'd like to know if she was more confident then me, if she felt complete etc... or what she not feel like a man? If she was my oposite I guess she would want to dress as a man :)

Hi all,

Meeting my alternate selves? Ugh! The thought of being in an infinite roomful of CJ's, all more or less variations of yours truly, is more than I can bear. I'll pass. :P Whether or not the "Many Worlds" interpretation of quantum physics holds water (and, as with the existence of God, there's no way of proving that it does so in any objective manner), this ol' world is strange enough and enough of a challenge for me as it is.

Still, were I to play along, I have to admit that I've sometimes felt what Sophie described. I'll be reading the papers in a restaurant, say, and, taking a sip from my coffee, I'm surprised to notice it's actually a cup of tea (yes, I do occasionally drink tea), even though, in my mind, I was sure it was a cup of coffee. So what happened there? Did I "flip over" into an alternate branch of reality? Ech! Who knows? For all I know, it could be that Coyote the Trickster is having a go at me for his own amusement or that I should've gone to bed at 11:30 pm the night before rather than at 4:00 am this morning.

Now, non-local reality... that's a fascinating thing to me. How the possibility of "action-at-a-distance" may be inscribed in the very structure of reality and how this possibility may be linked to what we call "paranormal" phenomena is very interesting, indeed. I'm skeptical--given the current state of our knowledge--concerning, say, telekinesis and ESP, but I'll be keeping an open mind. I rule nothing out--neither paranormal phenomena nor alternate realities (or any other kind of realms or planes of existence difficult or impossible for us to access). Being able to live with this kind of uncertainty (or "non-knowledge") affords me some measure of spiritual satiety.

But, having a cup of coffee (or tea) with a FtM CJ? Well, only if "he" picks up the tab. :P

Love,
CJ

OK how this idea and I believe that this is more possable than the quantuam theroy. That every one in the world has a double or someone who looks like you or very close to looking like you. What do you think of this idea?
