A ribbon for Crossdresssers
Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, but I've been kind of restricted due to army stuff. I am still getting deployed and won't be home until March of 2006. I am currenlty at Ft. Riley KS doing some training, and will go from here to Iraq in mid January. Anywho, here is the reason that I posted.
Why don't we, as crossdressers have a ribbon? Everyone else seems to. I think that it would be nice if we could all make one big movement forward and make our own ribbon. I think that it could be used for communication between all of us. Not just on this board, but everywhere that there are CDs. I think that it would be a good reminder that we are not alone (or more just you personally if you feel that way sometimes... having no CD freinds where I live or where I'm at now [to my knowledge] is really starting to make me feel that way.) I think it should be green, as it is a color of rebirth, a new life if you will. Well, I've got to go.

Sounds good to me.
BTW Celes, throughout the US there are pen turners turning ink pens for the soldiers in Iraq. Maybe you'll come across one over there. Stay safe.

Celes,
God Speed, Girl!!! YOu will be in our prayers and we will leave a candle burning for you safe return. I think we did have a rather lengthy discussion on some form of discriptive adornment and we have yet to settle on a color or item, but it is good to keep the topic up. I have no doubt that we will find something we can mostly agree on. i was thinking along the lines of a necklace with some artform on it, a star or circle.

Whatever it is, I'll where it.
It doesn't matter what all of you want to pick, but whatever it is, I will wear it while I am over there at all times.

I think it's a great idea, Celes. I didn't think of the ribbons, but that's a mainstream item that everyone is curious about, if they see a new one.
I wanted to come up with some logo that would go on t-shirts. I want something to wear that will allow a TG person of any stripe to know that they can strike up a conversation with me if they want to do so.

It would definitely be nice to see something, but the color spectrum for ribbons is getting awfully crowded! How about a tri-color? Navy blue, grey, and hot pink representing the stereotypical sexes and the grey area in between?

I think one of those livestrong-copy bracelets would do nice. Those cancer ribbons have been a bused one-too-many times.
I also think purple'd be great. But a (pink / purple / navy-blue) bracelet would also be cool. I meann thats the color fadeout used for most TG/TS support logos, so it already has some recognition.
