Wife didn't think it was funny

Post by Carol Ann »

Well yesterday I got busted by a neighbor. Will try not to be to long a story, Thursday a group of fellows were gathered in my driveway drinking suds and talking about the up coming deer season. In the course of talking a neighbor ask if I needed any fresh eggs as he had an extra dozen he would give me. After everyone had gone I waited all day for him to come back with the eggs he never does. So it's Friday morning and I told the wife I think I'll dress up nice today meaning a pretty dress full makeup and all the good things. Now my wife doesn't get around to well so most days I am the lady of the house doing dishes and cleaning (I don't mine). I had purchased a real cute apron off e-bay and was wearing it to do the dishes. Finished that and started to vacuum the living room rug and not paying attention and not hearing over the noise of the vacuum sweeper I looked up and standing there is my neighbor with a dozen eggs he had promised. Well what could I do? nothing. I turned the sweeper off and said "yes may I help you?". He anwser and saids" here are the eggs I said I would give the Weavers". With that he was gone and when I told the wife she hit the ceiling and wasn't laughing, me I got a chuckle out of it as all of a sudden it dawns on me how relaxed I was and didn't panic (cool) I saw him later on in the day and he ask if I had gotten the egg. "Oh ya and thanks man" Now I'm beginning to wonder if he knew it was me or a lady doing the sweeping. I think I passed with flying colors, if not it will be all over town today and I'm sure a few people on the road will rib me big time. I'm still laughing and wondering. (--) Carol Ann

Hi Carol Ann,

That took a lot of discipline. :) Great job!! :) I'm sorry your wife wasn't to happy about the event, but I think it's great that he didn't know it was you. :)

Funny!!!! :) =D> :)

Carol Anne,

My guess about your neighbor is either:

He didn't recognize your male self and you passed perfectly;

or

He simply thought it was for Halloween.

I think you were both surprised but you kept your cool enough (or were scared enough not to make a mistake) to pass.

It may be a good idea to have an explanation about your cleaning lady.

Please keep us posted.

I'd say, based on the fact he asked you if you got the eggs, that he didn't know it was you. You passed with flying colors.

Now you'll have to explain to your neighbors how you are suddenly so well off you can afford domestic help! :)

Carol Ann,

I agree with the others. It sounds like you passed. I can understand this was a close call. I'm sure I would feel the same way if this happened to me.

We all need to be prepared for neighbors to stop by while we are dressed so perhaps a good cover story is in order.

Carol Ann,

It looks as though you passed, but I hear a tone in your post that says you would not mind if you are outed? I am right about this?

Julie,

You look really pretty in your new avatar. Just had to say that.

Love always,

Hey, Carol Ann--
It's just that your sis was in town, and well, she insists on helping around the house when she stays over...that is pretty funny, and what a cool head you had! It does sound like you can let it go either way, and it won't be a big deal. Hope your wife can come around to that, too.

Well done for keeping calm :)

Carol Ann , What a hoot. You handled yourself so well. Just like Hazel would of done !!!!. Maybe your wife will see the humor as time goes on. I have always admired your avatar, you do look like a gg. You made it seem like you were supposed to be there, and your adlib was perfect, absolutely no dectection of male hormones at all. good job Caol Ann!!!!!
Have you gone oy on your own again since the gas station thing? I ahve lost my nerve for some reason and haven't been to a store dressed for 2 weeks o so. Don't know what the cause is?? oh well I'll get it back....Kristen

Good evening ladies :P ,
Just a follow up on the situation, good news all is well so far =D>

Beauty, discipline isn't the word I would use, more like dumfounded, no place to run or hide #-o

Jadeanne, oh don't worry the wife has that part well plan if and explaintion is needed. She is the one who is worryed :-({|=

Julie M,
You know it could have been his glasses

Elizabeth,
The anwser to your question is NO. If we stilled live in New Orleans not so bad but not here in the middle of bible country [-X

Virginia,
Thats where you are wrong, go back and re read my post. I was fully dressed in heels and makeup running the vacuum sweeper at the time.

Anita,
I love your cover story =D>

Kristen,
Thanks sweetheart for the kind words but I do need to change that avatar
as my wife doesn't like the wig. She prefures the light brown one I have. She saids it suits me better as and older women as she puts it doesn't dye her hair dark black.

Thanks to all and have a happy and safe Holloween (--) Carol Ann

Not what Virgina meant. She knew you were fully dressed. She meant just think what he would have thought had he caught you dressed ONLY on your unmentionables, garter, stockings, etc. Some dress as Virginia mentioned and some dress in a maids outfit like me.

That would have been a shocker indeed. (--)
