Just curious as I see no posts about the show. Did anyone or everyone give up on it as it is coming down to simply five guys trying to win $250,000? Next week should really give us some insight as they evidently go home and must be "in character" the whole time. Just one girl's query!

I am really underwelmed by the show. I have stopped watching it live. I tape it so I can fast forward through it. I like the way some of them look and enjoy (some of) the transformations, but I am really turned off by the commentary. I enjoy crossdressing and I am watching a bunch of guys doing what I enjoy just for the money. I find that sad and distressing.

I enjoyed it. The guys really got into being bridesmaids. Their femininity is surfacing fast.

I think that the show has now lost its luster.

At first I watched with the same attitude that any GG would have, thinking to myself "Now they know what we go through!" including CDs into the mix because just like GGs, a lot of us do spend lots of time and money on our hair, nails, makeup, clothes, etc, trying to look our best...

But now it has reached a point where it's just about money for the contestants & ratings for the show's producers, just like any other reality TV show out there.

They axed all the nice girls (heck, why am I calling them girls? They're guys in a contest - they're not even in the same league as us, LOL) Cree is a scumbag & that's why they kept him - for the "drama" element that all reality TV producers crave.

I think I'm done watching.

Oh, I love this show. Alberta is such a cutie! That's the main reason for watching, to see if Alberta wins. The part I don't like is that they vote each other off, I think they should just boot the one who is least ladylike. And I think Cree will be gone next week, because the judges almost booted him this time. I watch the show and often think "I would win this!"

I guess the jury is still out for me. I watched last night, and was somewhat discusted with the whole concept of fighting for the bouquet. For goodness sakes. I thought they were supposed to be learning to act ladylike? Bah.

Shame they got the opportunity to wear those lovely wedding gowns and probably didn't appreciate it. Well....statistically, maybe one of them did.

And yes, I hope Cree is gone. He's got a strange sense of....well everything? His outlook on a wedding and it sacred nature was way out there. Part of the Christian coalition perhaps? I don't know.

I'm not sure I would want to be involved with the show myself. Too macho directed I guess.

I was disappointed with the whole feel of the third episode, and turned it off after Cree let everyone know where he stood. I also didn't see any merit in watching them get in a food fight, or pummel each other trying to catch the bouquet.

I wish I could have seen the second episode. That looked like more fun, with them out on the streets for the first time, and each one dressed to compliment their looks, build, and so on. I'm not fond of bridesmaid dresses like that, even on women. So I SURE didn't want to stay around to see men wear them.

The reality show cliches are getting to me, to. I did used to watch Real World episodes sometimes, and all I'm seeing comes directly from there.
My greatest hope is that by 2050, they'll look at reality shows as a turn-of-the-century idea that was bizarre and barren of any redeeming qualities.

I have been recording the show to watch in private when I have the chance. I was rooting for Michael/Scarlett, and was really bummed when he/she was eleminated in the last episode instead of Cree. (Yuk!) I'm not sure I care to watch any longer.

Albert/Alberta is very cute (maybe too cute), and I suspect that he/she will also be eliminated by the uglier guys before long.

It doesn't seem that many people on this forum care for this show (which is shown on the TBS cable network in the US), but I myself have been mildly amused by it.

The three finalists are now Alberta (the cute one), Winona (the "full bodied" one), and Raven (the African-American contestant). The final show next week will be a beauty pagent.

My bet is that Winona will win. Although she has always been the least physically attractive of all the contestants, I think she has by far the most sympathic personality.

If so, this result may give encouragement to both CDers and GGs who don't fit the stereotypical ideals of feminine beauty.

My money is still on Alberta. Debbie and Morgan, especially Debbie, are very keen on her. John will probably vote on Winona, because Alberta scares him (his masculinity).

My wife and I will sit and watch it together (untill she has to leave for work). We both find it amusing and moving sometimes. I think it has helped her see me for who I am a little more, too.

Like Maggie, I too am rooting for David (a.k.a. "Wynonna"). It was interesting the way David got involved in helping Cecilia with her wedding jitters, and how he introduced "Wynonna" to his young son and his stepdaughter, Samantha. Also, I liked his statement to his family that learning to understand women more completely is a small price to pay (hardly a price at all) to help his family dig out of a financial hole. He seems like an admirable guy.

I have been watching the show as well. I think Alberta or Winona will win. I think it has been interesting to see their feminine sides come out. However, with the "dude passes" and their free time en drab in the house, they don't have to fully immerse themselves into their feminine personas.

I am looking forward to the finale next week. The previews look interesting, and they are bringing back all the other contestants for some sort of big production. I am also wondering whether there will be a second season of the show.

I think the show falls somewhere in the middle. It is not exactly accurate in all respects, but I don't think they are making fun of us CD's either.

I've watched two shows. I was kind of impressed. It lacked the game show feel and was more of a Big Brother meets Big Fat Loser meets The Real World.

I believe that the lady everyone is calling Winona is based on Wynonna Judd, the plus-size country singer, whose dark auburn hair is remarkably similar in length, style, and color to Davids Wynonna wig. I have spoilers for those who may have taped, but not watched the send to last "going home" episode yet....

I find this show to be really deep! Especially as it goes on. Seeing Dave/Wynona get in touch with his feminine side showed how fearless and strong he is as a human being. He is the personality that many of us can probably relate to, we don't have all the typical hangups and fears about expressing emotions (especially love). He was proud to introduce Wynona to his son and daughter, and when you see him with his wife, they are an amazing couple. She was just glowing with happiness that she got to see him.

What I admire about Albert/Alberta is that he also is not afraid to be feminine, in fact he really puts a lot of effort into it. I admire someone who isn't prisoner to their gender "role" and dives right in when it's time to see the other side.

Cree to me represents the "typical male." He had to remove his wig in order to say something "as a man." What is that?! Does long hair and earrings reduce the validity of what you have to say? And when his son saw him like that and encouraged him to talk like a girl, he kept reiterating "but this is not me." To me, he was a weak person, so caught up in presenting himself "as a man" that he only showed how little he could handle. And his whole opposition to being a bridesmaid really lit me up. First of all, what is the "sanctity of marriage" that I keep hearing about? It should mean that people don't cheat on their spouses, that they respect each other, and don't rule over their spouses. If someone wants men as bridesmaids, that's fine. They could have blue geckos for bridesmaids if they want and the sanctity will be completely unscathed. He demonstrates everything that bothers me about the expectations of being male.

But he got booted, which is what the show is all about. The three remaining contestants are really, in my opinion, the most likable contestants. I admire Dave the most, but Albert is putting the most effort into being a girl. Donell is hilarious and I really like him, but the other two have a bit of an edge over him. Overall, I think this show is doing a lot of good as far as increased understanding, and showing it in a positive light. Now if only crossdressing beauty pageants could replace football in popularity, the world would be a better place.
