I registered about two weeks ago...totally impressed with the quality of posts here.
Me? 55, ...single.... life long CD type. .. Compared to others here..I'm boring, although I have joined a group and have been out as Dee a few times there. This month is our Christmas party...wish me luck..I'm scared S**tless. LOL....afraid I'm gonna be overdressed .... Gee... that was a terrible intro.

Welcome Dee,

Don't worry about being overdressed. Since it is your first party, I can understand the nervousness. Mine was this past Saturday and it was my first time out.

However, you've been out as Dee before and have mixed with the group you joined, so you should be fine. As for overdressing? I doubt it. You should have seen some of the outfits the girls had on Saturday. And it was supposed to be "formal." I'm sure some of the more flamboyant and experienced members of the group will be a tad more overdressed than you.

Have fun at the party.

And no, it was a fine introduction.

You'll have a FINE time out there. My CD intuition says that there will always be someone who's further out on a limb than I am, when it comes to dress. I'm sure you'll find it to be true for you, too. Have fun!

Welcome DeeDee. You will have a wonderful time! I have yet to go to any "CD function" that I did not meet some of the most wonderful and gracious people. The one requirement is that when you get back you must relate all the intimate details, what you wore; how many were there, what they wore, were was it held, etc.
