When I get a private message, I hit "reply," type it out, and then hit "submit." It goes out to the person I'm writing to, and also goes to the "sendbox."
What happened on the last PM answer is: I hit "submit," and it went to the outbox, where it stays. There is no "submit" function on the outbox--just "save" and "delete."
How do I get this PM to go out, and not hang around the house?

The PM always goes to the outbox first.
The only way it can get to the sentbox is for the intended recipient to read it. That is how you know it was read. Some forums use a "read receipt",
So, the one you thought went to the sentbox immediately was actually sent to the outbox and the recipient was online and read it.
If the recipient hasn't been online for a while, today, what ever, then it will languish in the outbox until the recipient logs in AND check their inbox.
