My beginnings Part II (for what its worth)

Post by Samantha Jane »

Hi girls,

I have read many wonderful beginnings posts over the last few weeks and through this I came to the realization, how much my original post was rushed. This was probably due to the fact that I had never had anyone with which to share my CDing feelings with before.
5 or 6 lines in 35 years of CDing looking back seemed inadequate, if that is the right word.
I would like to relate an event that happened to enforce my love/need of CDing and lead part way to excepting that I had a strong femminne side.
It's almost as if accidental triggers throughtout my life have enforced my need to except, who I now know to be Charlotte, as part of my life.
Anyway, I was a boy scout (I wish I could have been a girl guide) and every year our local area put on a "Gang Show". For a couple of years I had resisted taking part, mainly due to the fact that I cannot sing.
I was eventually talked into taking part in the gang show, at the age of thirteen.
Rehearsals started in the January and on arrival I was given a list of numbers I was to take part in. Halfway down the list was "Moulin Rouge" and my part was back-ground, playing a woman.
Wearing womens clothes in public !!!!!!!, legit, the excitement was over whelming and this chance to dress as a female sustained me, throughout the many boring Saturday and tuesday evening rehearsals.
Wardore took measurements for dress and shoe size etc, and all I could think about was roll on dress rehearsals and the seven nights that I would appear on stage in a dress.
Finally the day arrived for me to dress-up, padded bra (and no means a small size) flowing flower print dress, wig ,high heel shoes and tan panty hose. Unfortunately, no silk panties (would not be seen anyway) and only the normal stage makeup.
After coming of stage I counted myself lucky, some of the other guys in 'moulin rouge' were also in the next number and had to effect a quick change, where as I could savour the wonderful feeling of being dressed a little while longer.
The only negitive side to this experience was that it took over 30 years for me to be able to face wearing tan coloured panty hose again. :? :? ?
Any other colour red, white, black, but not tan. Now I love tan /nude and wear these coloured panty hose/ stockings all the time. :) :) :) :)
All explanations as to this strange anomaly will be gratefully received.

Cool story Charlotte.

Not tan? Maybe a sense of loss over the end of your first public appearances?

Thanks for sharing. Isn't it amazing how your first female article of clothing sticks with you later in life ?

Charlotte,
You know when I began to realize that I had this "gift" and began to research it and force myself back to my childhood and try and remember my first experience I began to remember watching my grandmother (I was raised by my grandparents) watching her dress and how meticulous she was then at the age of 7 or 8 I spent a week with my father's mother in Leveland, Texas. She was 1/2 Comanche and I began to vividly remember her putting a "sack dress' on me and letting me sweep the floor in the house - ready for this - it was a dirt floor and we sweep it every day. It is amazing what we can force ourselves to remember and for a lot of us its wonderful.
Thanks, for sharing.

Dear Charlotte,

Makes me wonder if all males have a desire to dress. It really doesn't take much to get a guy into a dress if you give him the right excuuse. Just look at footballers and actors.

Anyway I am envious of your childhood opportunity and am so glad you took it.

A big welcome Charlotte and hope you enjoy being here.

Love Jan

Hi Charlotte,

It sounds like this wasn't your first dressing experience. Or maybe i'm not reading it right. Anyway, it's a really cool story. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Acting or no, it takes courage to stand on stage in front of an audience.(Something I severely lack) Congrats on overcoming any fear that you may have had.
Again, thanks for opening up and sharing your story. I'm sure it was a very memorable experience.

Hugs,
Kyra

Hi girls,

Thankyou for all your wonderful replies, it really helps a girls confidence in posting on this site.
You did read right Kyra, I had experimented before. I tried on my mothers clothes and got caught, well not in the act. My mother was meticulous when it came to storing here clothes and she knew I had been through hers drawers. No choice but to own up, as I was an only child.
The incident was not spoken of again, but from then on I had to be very careful and then the only real next chance to dress, was on that stage.
Virginia, you said about forcing yourself to think back. That's what I did, but after reading so many really excellent beginning stories posted here.
